October. It’s been a big and beautiful month.
Another lap around the sun celebrated for me, which is always a good time for reflection around what I’ve learned, the ways in which I’ve expanded and grown and the ways in which I need to recalibrate and find balance.
I’ve found myself close to burnout recently so I’ve tailored the ways in which I work, to look after myself while calling on my own mentors and resources and it’s been so helpful: I’ve softened further into surrender and flow and I’m paying extra attention to my own sense of mental health and wellbeing. It’s been fitting given its mental health month.
I’ve walked most days as part of my commitment to raise funds for the Black Dog Institute’s One Foot Forward campaign, and I’m happy to say I smashed my initial target and raised it and reached that one too. I am so grateful to everyone who donated - thank you for supporting me and this awesome cause! ⭐️
I feel happier and stronger, this end of the month. It’s not always easy to say yes to growth and self-exploration - it’s a work in progress and I’ll never say it’s all smooth sailing or that I’ve arrived at my destination! I will say I show up for myself in all of the ways I encourage the people who come to see me for counselling and support. On the other side of the edgy uncomfortable parts of growth is a new sense of belonging, of being more in alignment and aware of your strengths and it is worth it.
Please know you don’t have to go it alone! Reach out if you’re not ok and check in with those you love, often. My contact details are available in the link in my Kasi Therapies bio if you want to reach out. I have very limited spaces for counselling sessions available in the lead up to the end of the year, with new spaces opening in January.
Take care xx 🌺☀️🩵
