Milton Medical Centre doctors, specialists and allied health practioners whom we refer to are at the Shoalhaven Medical Association Conference today.

In our first session, we learnt about school readiness and vision, hearing, speech and language development. In terms of getting your child school ready simple tips we learnt were:

# Eat the rainbow (a diet rich in colourful fruit and vegetables)
# Go outside
# Read books to your children
# Minimise screen time
# Hearing tests are essential in the context of recurrent ear infections

Most importantly, if you have any concerns, co. R and talk to your GP. Early intervention makes a big difference!

Happy birthday to UOW medical student Jonathon! We hope you have a great weekend of celebrations.
