Milton Exercise physiology clinic run by AEP Neil Eden and his partner Cat. Owners since March 2022 Healthfit is an exercise physiology clinic in Milton.

Helping people build their confidence and self belief through exercise without limitation. Our services are available for people of all ages who require assistance with acute and chronic conditions or injuries

Looking to use a small gym where you will pretty much have the space all to yourself?

We are based on Milton and are offering use of our clinic outside of appointment hours. It's also open for use over the holidays.

As we are an exercise physiology clinic, exercise is what we specialize in, so the clinic is fully stocked with equipment that we can write you a program to use to make the most of, to work towards your goals.

It is only available for a small number of people so you will never be waiting for equipment to use.

We have a couple of spots open up for our Stability and Strength class. It's currently attended by a welcoming group of people so any new attendees will fit right in.

WHEN: Wednesday @ 10am & Friday @ 9am

FOR: For those suffering with age related conditions such as risk of falls, loss of independence, Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis, sarcopenia and frailty

CLASS DESCRIPTION: Small group focusing on dynamic balance to help daily ambulation as well as strength training to help with balance and to perform tasks of daily living.

Neil our Exercise Physiologist has over 17 years experience working with Stroke victims in their rehabilitation.

We are passionate about helping people whether thats in our Clinic or at Home. Please get in touch if we could help you or someone you know who has suffered from a stroke.

Healthfit offers home visits for those who are unable to access the Clinic due to transport requirements or physical conditions. We offer coverage of 2538 and 2539 for this service.

An in home accessment and consult will provide the same process as in the Clinic, with equipment provided depending upon your needs. These in home sessions can be accessed by Aged Care packages, DVA, NDIS, Private Health insurance and GP referrals.

As a clinic, we want to recognize the large number of people who provide dedicated care to their family members or friends. We see first hand the impact that great support can bring to those who have short term or long-term health issues and recognise the impact this can have on their own day to day lives.

We see on a daily basis the huge difference carers make to our client’s quality of life. Here is Neil with his 97 year old Grandma, who he cared for.

Today marks the end of National Carers Week, with millions of Australians providing this support, which will affect nearly all people at some point in their lives either from becoming a carer themselves or knowing one in the future.

This movement simulates picking items up off the floor and being able to carry shopping. For Michael (89) Being able to complete this movement will reduce his risk of falls and aid his independence at home.

This is a commonly prescribed medical treatment for muscle, tendon, joint pain and loss of function.

We see many clients who have been offered a steroid injection as a quick fix or have had several that have not given short- or long-term improvements.

As with all procedures there are positives and negatives which should be considered.
We as exercise physiologists educate people on the risks and rewards of such treatments.

Pregnancy doesn't have to mean the end of resistance training or lifting.

The latest systematic review shows that strength training whilst pregnant can reduce the odds of the following conditions:

• Gestational hypertension by 58%
• Gestational diabetes by 38%
• perinatal mood disorders by 52%
• macrosomia by 33%

It is therefore important that you keep doing the same exercises that you were doing before you were pregnant. These can be modified throughout your pregnancy.

An exercise physiologist can help you put together an exercise plan throughout your pregnancy.
