Calling all Opens (18–30) from Quinns Mindarie Surf Life Saving Club, Alkimos Surf Life Saving Club & Yanchep Surf Life Saving Club!

We’re bringing our Opens together for a relaxed QMSLSC Opens Night - all about making connections across clubs, meeting new people, and strengthening the Opens community.

Whether you compete, patrol, or just want to find out more about how things operate across different clubs, this is a great chance to connect with other Opens from across the region.

While the Aussies continue on the Gold Coast, with the main hub at North Kirra S.L.S.C the conditions this week have certainly kept everyone on their toes and that’s where our incredible volunteers have truly shone!

With wild surf and challenging conditions, our water safety and first aid teams have been out there every day, putting themselves on the front line to make sure every athlete stays safe. These are long days in tough conditions, and we couldn’t be prouder of this amazing group who continue to step up when it matters most.

We also want to recognise all of our athletes who have competed so far, and those still to compete - thankfully all on the sand! Your resilience, teamwork, and commitment to representing the club do not go unnoticed!!

To our volunteers, thank you for your skill, dedication, and willingness to take on conditions many would find daunting. You are an essential part of what makes this event possible, and we are incredibly proud to have you representing QMSLSC.

On Sunday we celebrated all of our incredible nippers and recognised our age group award winners. Watching these kids grow in confidence, skills and friendships is what makes Nippers so special. We’re incredibly proud of every single one of you.

What a morning on the beach for our 2026 Club Championships!

Our Youth, Open and Masters athletes showed up in force, giving it their all in the water and on the sand. From first races to seasoned competitors, it was fantastic to see so many members getting involved, pushing themselves, and cheering each other on.

The smiles, encouragement and celebrations for each other’s successes are what make mornings like this so special. It’s a great reminder that our club is built on people who love being part of something bigger than themselves.

A huge thank you to the many helpers who worked tirelessly to make the morning happen - from setting up the beach, officiating events, and keeping everyone safe in the water.

We’re incredibly proud of you all.

What a big weekend for our Nippers at the Ocean State Finals!
The conditions were tougher than we’re used to, but every single one of you gave it your all.

We are so incredibly proud of each and every one of you. Your determination, teamwork and spirit continue to astound us! There are so many (most) of us adults that can’t do what you guys do week after week. Congratulations to you all!

And, once again, massive thank you to the families, officials and volunteers who make weekends like this possible.

This Sunday, we will be holding our Pink Patrol, and we’d love to see all of our Nipper families and broader community get involved and show their support!

For our Nippers, you’ll still need to wear your Woodside Nipper Vest and age group cap, but we encourage everyone that’s coming down to add a splash of pink to their outfit - think pink sunscreen, tutus, wigs, and pink T-shirts to show your support! 💕

Pink Patrol celebrates and recognises the incredible contribution of women and girls in lifesaving, inspiring the next generation through positive role modelling, confidence and leadership. 😍
