I pulled a card today, reflecting on the letters that are coming in to my mail box.
IF you are reading this then may this message may be for you too!~
'You're finally ready to make that decision you've been resisting; in fact, you may have already done so. You have the clarity and consciousness to figure out exactly what you want to do, and you have the power to do it. The hesitation of the past may linger a bit, but your courage is growing, and you're getting ready to take control of your destiny.
Things bode well for new decisions and focused actions. It may take some time to gain momentum, but you're on the right track. Focus on your goal, and take the action needed. This is a time of great energy for you. Open up to the unlimited confidence and courage that your soul provides.
Affirmation~ It is safe and comfortable for me to make my own choices. I always choose the path that honours me~🦉 The Quantum Oracle & G Ma

A little girl wrote me a letter 'because she liked owls too' - she wrote that 'sometimes she didn't always tell her Mum and Dad the truth' - because she was 'scared she might make them sad or mad (upset them) and get into trouble'. Mum's friend showed her the face book page and said 'letter writing is fun!'
She went on to tell me that she 'never had Grand Parents' - her 'My Mum and Dad do not talk to their Mum and Dad anymore'- so she doesn't even know where they live - 'even if she wanted to write them a letter of draw them a picture' she never knew how to reach them 'my Grannie and Grand dad are too busy to care about us'. She drew her family, Grand Parents were positioned in the clouds.
In my return letter I said 'Thank you for trusting my Letter Writing Circle and thank you for putting pen to paper' I told her 'I would love to get to know her through letter writing, and I would keep writing letters to her - I will be her pen friend her Grand Mother Owl -I told her I absolutely love getting letters in the mail, I told her many other things about our life too. 'Please remember, write to me as often as you want to - I will always write back within the month' - 'You may have a busy family, but now you have a Grand Mother Owl to write to, ask me anything' - I drew three resilience cards for her which prompted three questions, which are an invitation to write from the heart and included in her envelope. 'Don't forget to check your mail box everyday - PS you can call me G-ma"🦉🙏✍️🙂

Card for today...If you are reading this post - its FOR YOU!! ~
The Banquet Table
A beautiful banquet table over looks the sea. On top of the table are bright candles, crystal dishes and beautiful flowers, ready for the feast to be served. This card upright signifies a time of great achievement for you. The work that you've put in a plan or project is about to pay off, and you will reap the rewards of your efforts. The good outlook may be related to money or work, a creative project, or an endeavour concerning family and home. Whatever it is, enjoy the fruits of your labour!
Although the culmination of your achievements is near, there may still be some work for you to do. After all, preparing a banquet takes some time and planning. Let yourself move through what has yet to done with peace and pleasure, and continue to bringhappiness to your everyday life. This achievement brings you great fulfilment, but remember your daily joy can be a banquet, too! ~ The Quantum Oracle & G Ma 🦉

Greetings dear ones - I hear you ask 'what is this all about?' ...this Grand Mother Owl's Letter Writing Circle?

'Why bother when you have the internet?' Let me just say there are MANY reasons why people choose to connect with pen and paper~ when you reach out and connect to get to know others you actually get to know yourself. There are many benefits to putting some time to write aside.

🪶 Why Handwriting Letters Is a Beautiful Idea

(From the desk of Grand Mother Owl)

1. It slows us down.

Handwriting invites us to pause, breathe, and sink into the present moment.
In a fast world, writing becomes a small act of mindfulness.

2. It strengthens emotional connection.

Seeing someone’s handwriting — the curves, the pauses, the pressure of the pen — feels personal and intimate.
Letters carry energy that digital words simply cannot.

3. It becomes a keepsake.

A handwritten letter can be tucked into a drawer, a journal, a shoebox…
and rediscovered decades later.
It becomes part of a family’s story.

4. It boosts memory and creativity.

Writing by hand activates different parts of the brain than typing.
It helps us recall more, feel more, and think more deeply.

5. It reduces screen fatigue.

All ages are overwhelmed by constant digital input.
Writing letters offers a gentle, screen-free ritual that nourishes the nervous system.

6. It builds community in a meaningful way.

Sending and receiving letters creates a sense of belonging —
a slow, thoughtful rhythm of connection that many people crave.

7. It teaches patience and anticipation.

In a world of instant gratification, waiting for a letter can feel magical.
It reminds us that not everything needs to arrive in seconds.

8. It supports mental health.

Expressive writing has been shown to reduce anxiety, improve mood, and clarify thoughts.
Letter-writing is a form of therapeutic storytelling — for sender and receiver.

9. It encourages self-expression.

Decorating envelopes, choosing stamps, drawing little sketches, or selecting beautiful paper
makes communication feel creative again.

10. It preserves culture and intergenerational wisdom.

Letters become a record of how we lived, loved, and learned. *SEND me your address, and expect a hand written letter within 3 weeks! This could be the start of a life long pen friendship 🤩

Creating connections!!! ~ More letters going out! Using up all the old stamps and envelopes. $1.70 in Australia for a stamp still feels like good value for all the benefits letter writing brings. WHOOO WHO knew???

The Health Benefits of Hand-Writing Letters
1. Enhances Emotional Expression
Writing by hand slows our thoughts and helps us access deeper emotions.People often express themselves more honestly and compassionately in a handwritten letter than in digital communication.

2. Reduces Stress & Anxiety
The rhythm of pen on paper has a calming, meditative effect. It lowers cortisol and helps regulate the nervous system, similar to mindful breathing or gentle movement.

3. Strengthens Memory & Cognitive Function
Handwriting activates more areas in the brain than typing. It improves:
recall
focus
comprehension
creativity
This makes letter-writing both restorative and mentally stimulating.

4. Boosts Mood Through Connection
Receiving a handwritten letter triggers a surge of dopamine — the “reward” and “bonding” chemical. It fosters:
belonging
being thought of
feeling valued
emotional support
For many, this is profoundly healing.

5. Encourages Mindfulness & Presence
When writing a letter, you slow down, breathe, and pay attention to small details —the date, the weather, your thoughts, your energy. It becomes a grounding ritual that brings you into the present moment.

6. Builds Meaningful Relationships
Pen pal connections often feel deeper than digital ones. The slower pace encourages reflection, empathy, and intentional communication — qualities essential for emotional wellbeing.

7. Supports Grief, Loneliness & Emotional Healing
Letter-writing can give voice to feelings that are hard to speak out loud. It’s especially powerful for:
grief processing
relationship closure
reconnecting with self
navigating transitions
combating isolation
The act of sending and receiving is a reminder that connection is still possible.

8. Improves Fine Motor Skills & Brain–Body Coordination
Handwriting strengthens the neural pathways between mind and body.It improves:
dexterity
hand strength
coordination
motor memory
Great for all ages, including older adults.

9. Sparks Creativity & Imagination
Choosing paper, ink, stamps, doodles, drawings — all activate the creative brain. This helps with emotional expression, wellbeing, and joy.

10. Creates a Sense of Ritual & Intentionality
Letter writing becomes a small ceremony:
making tea
choosing paper
lighting a candle
sitting with your thoughts
For people craving meaning and slowness, this can be deeply nourishing.

11. Offers a Digital Detox
A simple pen and paper moment creates space from screens, noise, and constant notifications. It’s grounding, refreshing, and good for mental clarity.

12. Helps You Feel Seen, Heard, and Thought Of
In a world of quick messages, receiving a handwritten letter is an act of love.It says:“You matter.”“I took time just for you.”
This alone can be profoundly healing.

Hello dear ones,
Grandmother Owl here, fluttering in with a little spark of excitement in my heart.

Something special is beginning.

Before screens and notifications took over the world, people wrote to each other with intention — slowly, thoughtfully, lovingly. Letters travelled across fields, mountains, and ordinary days, carrying stories, comfort, laughter, and sometimes the very thing a heart needed most.

And NOW...
I am inviting you to help revive that beautiful art✍️.

Over the coming weeks, we will be opening Grandmother Owl’s Letter Writing Circle —a cosy community for all ages, those who long for deeper connection, gentler communication, and the simple joy of sending and receiving handwritten letters.
But first…We need the basics.

🪶 A pen you enjoy writing with
🪶 Paper that feels good in your hands
🪶 A quiet moment to breathe and begin.

And if you feel gently drawn to join this circle, for now I will need a way to send YOU your very first hand written letter.

To keep everyone safe and comfortable:
Never post typed letters (unless your disability requires you to)
Always hand write or draw your return letter to me, even if its only a few words or a picture. (Write as little as much as you want to)

You will receive your first letter within 3 weeks of me receiving your postal address and Pen Name (I PROMISE🙏✍️). Your address will only be received via Private Message (PM) on Facebook or emailing spiritbeinghuman13@gmail.com or Hazel Rose directly via her contacts page on her website https://hazelrose.com.au/contact/and

Admin- Follow these steps then you will receive your first hand written letter from Grandmother Owl, she will prompt you to write back and from time to time she may send you stamps and stationary to keep you excited about reviving the magic of handwritten connection.🤩✍️ PLEASE SHARE with people that need connection!
