Our Strength & Conditioning classes for 12–17 year olds focus on learning correct, safe lifting patterns while building strength, fitness, and confidence 🏋🏼

Classes run as normal until March 24, then move to:
Mondays: 5:15pm
Tuesdays: 4:45pm

✨ Women’s Health Group Continuing in 2026 ✨

Due to the incredible demand, we’re excited to confirm that our Women’s Health Group will be continuing 🌸

🗓 Mondays from 2nd February
⏰ 11:00am

Run by Exercise Physiologist Claudia, these sessions will provide a supportive and safe environment for women at every stage.

💰 $25 per session, or $225 for a 10-pack (one class free!)

Just over three years ago, Will experienced an accident that resulted in a C5 incomplete quadriplegic injury. After spending several years in Adelaide for rehabilitation, his ultimate goal was to move back home and continue pursuing his passion for rugby.
Six months ago, YP-EP began working with Will in his home, focusing on improving his upper body strength, power, and mental resilience to support transfers in and out of his wheelchair and performance in his rugby chair. Will’s determination, effort, and incredible resilience (as you’ll see in the videos and photos) have been truly inspiring. His hard work has paid off, he is now proudly representing Australia and recently competed in Prague at the Wheelchair Rugby Australia RugbyMania event!
Will’s brother, Hugo, has also represented Australia in athletics and works with our Exercise Physiologists to enhance his power, strength, and conditioning. Clearly, the Taheny family is full of talent and dedication.
Keep up the amazing work, Will and Hugo you’re an inspiration!

New Defibrillator Installed at YP Health and Fitness 💙🚑

Your safety is always our top priority. We’re proud to share that we’ve now installed a defibrillator (AED) in our gym.

While we hope it never needs to be used, having a defib on site provides extra peace of mind for our members, staff, and community. In the event of a cardiac arrest, quick access to a defibrillator can make all the difference.

✅ Located: next to the lockers and drinks fridge at the front of the gym!
✅ Staff trained in CPR & AED use
✅ Added layer of protection for every workout

This is just one more way we’re committed to creating a safe, supportive environment for everyone at our gym.

✨ Client Spotlight ✨

Senior Exercise Physiologist Ben received this awesome message from his client Nelly during the week, and we thought we’d celebrate her journey and share her story.

Nelly unfortunately ruptured her ACL midway through last year while playing netball. She started with Ben around 12 weeks post-surgery in September, initially ruling out any chance of a comeback for this season.

But with consistent fortnightly Exercise Physiology sessions, steady progress in testing, and plenty of hard work on her own, her confidence began to grow.

By June this year (around 13 months post-op), Nelly was back on court playing her first game. Fast forward just 3 months and she’s now a two-time premiership player 🏆🏆
Nelly has been a dream client; committed, consistent, and determined. She’s shown the gold standard of how to approach ACL rehab, and now feels stronger, faster, and more powerful than ever.

Well done Nelly 👏 An incredible example of what’s possible with hard work, belief, and the right support.

We’re so excited to bring you a 10-week Women’s Health Group class! Led by Claudia, our wonderful Exercise Physiologist with extensive experience and a special interest in women’s health, these sessions are designed to support women of all ages and stages.

🌸 When: Mondays, 20th October - 22nd December (10 weeks)
🌸 Time: 11:00 – 11:45am
🌸 Who: Women of all ages. Non-mobile babies are welcome!
🌸 To Book: 12 spaces only- first in, best dressed! Book via the link in our Instagram bio under “Women’s Health Group Class,” or via our website
🌸 Cost: Fully funded by Sonder’s Play Our Way Program, completely FREE for participants!
