We would like to sincerely thank the Yorke Peninsula community and surrounding areas for making us feel so welcome during our transition from McQueen Funerals to Yorke Peninsula Funerals. Your support, kindness, and warm greetings have truly made this change a smooth and positive experience for us. We understand that change can be challenging, and we are committed to keeping things as familiar and consistent as possible for all of you.

On that note, we have received numerous phone calls and visits from customers who may hold a Pre-Paid Funeral or Funeral Bond with the previous McQueen Funerals. We want to reassure everyone that, with the purchase of the business, we have acquired all of the existing Pre-Paid Funerals and Funeral Bonds. Rest assured, nothing will change in terms of these agreements. We will honor all arrangements that are already in place. The only change is the name of the business.

We are writing to introduce ourselves as the new owners of Yorke Peninsula Funerals, formerly known as McQueen Funerals. Our names are Melanie and Garry Peasnell, and we are honoured to continue the important work of providing compassionate and professional funeral services to the local community.

We are also pleased to share that Kate Edwards, a valued member of the team who has served with McQueen Funerals for the last 18 years, will continue to be with us at Yorke Peninsula Funerals. Announcement:

Iain & I would like to let you know that we have sold McQueen Funeral Services to Melanie & Garry Peasnell.
Melanie was brought up in Hardwicke Bay, schooled at Minlaton, and has been working for many years in the funeral profession in Adelaide.

We feel very confident that they will continue to care for the community in the same way as we have done.

We are very thankful for the support we have received for the last 27 1/2 years and thank especially our staff during that time, our 2 sons, & our families.

Thank you for treating this page with respect. We were the first funeral company in Australia to allow people to comment and leave their messages of sympathy and support, and you have done that, so very well!

Iain will still be around from time to time, as required.
