Did you know that Social Media can be an addiction, just like alcohol, gambling, smoking, drugs, etc
👉What is an Addiction -
An Addiction is when you have a need or urge to do something or use something that can interfere or stop you functioning in other areas of your life. You stop or reduce the time you would spend on your health, your relationships, work, tasks, exercising, or even just relaxing, in preference to the addiction .
It's possible to be addicted to anything.
Living with an addiction can seriously damage your work performance, health and relationships if it is not addressed.
👉Social media can have a complex impact, potentially fostering connection and belonging but also leading to negative mental health outcomes like anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem, as well as issues like cyberbullying and addiction. We often compare ourselves to what we see on social media, which is often far from reality, edited and enhanced.
Most phones will tell you how much time you spend of them, and on what.
We all think we are very busy, but are we? What would you rather spend that 2 hours and 29 minutes on?
