Looking for a fun way to connect with the young people in your life these school holidays?

On the 20th of September I am running a family yoga class.

AGES 4 and up.

The class will incorporate elements of yoga such as asana, meditation, breathing exercises and mindfulness.

There will also be games and crafting that will all tie into the theme of Spring and new beginnings.

Not only is this an opportunity to bond with your little person but also a way to connect with your inner child in a playful way.

“We don’t stop playing because we grow old; We grow old because we stop playing.” -George Bernard Shaw

No yoga experience necessary. If there are any special requirements please let me know when booking.

Also probably good to note - this won’t be like your usual zen yoga class. Children and family yoga classes are a little chaotic at time 😆 BUT the benefits are still quite the same.

Hope to see you there!

AFFIRMATIONS

We always close our classes with affirmations.

We provide the kids with a little piece of paper with the affirmations written on to practice at home. We encourage the children to share the affirmations with their Parents/Guardians and to have a go practicing them together.

A few reasons to practice affirmations include;

Increase confidence

Lower stress

Shift mindset

Create a positive inner voice

A few ways to practice affirmations;

In front of the mirror during your child's morning or evening routine.

In bed before sleep

In the car on the way to school

Repeat them in your head after meditation

It can feel a little strange at first and maybe even give you the ‘ick but like everything, with practice you will get better at it.

The practice isn’t just for the little yogi’s but also for us grown ups too!

We all have an inner voice and a lot of the time that inner voice can be negative. Practicing positive affirmations daily is one of the many tools we can use to quieten those negative thoughts and replace them with kind ones.

Remember - Don’t take it too seriously and have some fun.
