Over 100 practitioners trained πŸ’›

What started as a question during the 2019–2020 bushfires β€” β€œHow do we support distressed communities early, ethically, and at scale?” β€” has grown into something we’re incredibly proud of.

✨ Two ASSYST trainings in 3 days
✨ A growing international community
✨ Clinicians, helpers, and responders committed to early intervention

Huge thanks to Vania Miteva for delivering the trainings, and to Dr Nacho Jarero and Nicolle Mainthow for their ongoing generosity, leadership, and belief in Australian communities.

This is quiet work. Collective work. And it matters.

πŸ–€ Holding each other through the heartbreak πŸ–€

In the wake of the devastating events at Bondi yesterday, our hearts are with every life lost, every family grieving, and every person whose sense of safety has been shaken.

In times like this, compassion matters.
Love matters.
Community matters.

Like this image, may we hold one another a little closer β€” across ages, cultures, and walks of life.
It’s okay to feel rattled.
It’s okay to grieve people you never knew.
It’s okay to slow down.

We honour the first responders and everyday community heroes who showed courage, care, and humanity when it mattered most.
Healing begins in small moments β€” checking in, offering kindness, allowing rest, and reminding each other we’re not alone.
Be gentle with yourself.
Be gentle with each other.

πŸ’” When disaster strikes, it’s easy to lose sight of hope. But even in the darkest moments, light still finds a way through. πŸŒ…

Natural disasters don’t just destroy homes β€” they shake our sense of safety, stability, and hope. Many survivors silently carry anxiety, sleeplessness, or guilt long after the news cameras leave.

At CIRN, we understand that rebuilding isn’t only about walls β€” it’s about hearts and minds. Our team helps communities recover emotionally after floods, fires, and crises, bringing trauma-informed care where it’s needed most. πŸ•ŠοΈ

Because true recovery means healing the unseen scars, too. πŸ’›

No matter how heavy your pain feels, you don’t carry it alone. πŸ’›

At CIRN, we walk beside communities after crisis β€” offering support, tools, and care when it’s needed most. Because healing isn’t something you have to face alone.

πŸ’¬ Save this as a reminder. Tag someone who needs to hear this today.

πŸ’› Healing isn’t a race. It’s one breath, one step, one gentle day at a time.
Trust that tomorrow can feel a little lighter.

πŸŒ… Darkness can feel endless after critical incidents… but just like the sunset gives way to stars, light always finds its way back. ✨

πŸ’› Healing doesn’t mean forgetting. It means learning to breathe again, to hope again, to see the beauty of tomorrow.

At CIRN, we walk beside communities in their hardest moments β€” reminding each person that even in the shadows, they are not alone. Together, we find the light. 🌟

Being neuro-affirming means we:
✨ Respect differences in how people think, feel, and experience the world
✨ Provide psychological treatment that adapts to each individual’s needs
✨ Create safe, inclusive spaces where everyone feels understood and supported

Why does this matter? Because mental health care should never be β€œone-size-fits-all.” When we embrace neurodiversity, we give people the tools to thrive β€” not just survive. 🌱

Together, let’s move toward a future where all minds are welcomed, supported, and celebrated.
