This week, CHADAC held a beautiful Womenโ€™s Day on Country, commemorating Motherโ€™s Day ๐Ÿ’

We were honoured to have Nolita from Black Ochre host a special soap-making workshop, where our women came together to create, connect, and share in culture.

Thank you so much, Nolita, for sharing your incredible work, knowledge, and stories with the community. Your presence made the day truly meaningful ๐Ÿ’›

Stay safe and beat the heat! โ˜€๏ธ๐ŸŒก๏ธ

The temperature is rising, and we want to make sure everyone in our community stays cool and healthy. High temperatures can be dangerous, so itโ€™s important to take extra precautions during this heatwave.

๐Ÿ›‘ Heat Safety Tips:

โ€ข Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate: Drink plenty of water throughout the day, even if you don't feel thirsty. Avoid caffeine and sugary drinks which can dehydrate you. ๐Ÿ’ง

โ€ข Seek Shade: Stay indoors in air-conditioned spaces as much as possible. If you are outside, stick to the shade. ๐ŸŒณ

โ€ข Watch the Clock: Avoid strenuous outdoor activities during the hottest parts of the day (usually between 11 AM and 4 PM). ๐Ÿ•’

โ€ข Check on Others: Reach out to elderly neighbors, family members, and those with health conditions to ensure they are staying cool. ๐Ÿค

โ€ข Never Leave Pets or Kids in Cars: Temperatures inside a parked car can reach lethal levels in just minutes. ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿš—

โ€ผ๏ธNeed a place to cool down?โ€ผ๏ธ

Visit C.H.A.D.A.C for cold bottles of water and a comfortable, air-conditioned space to rest. ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ
