Hi its Danielle from the village feast also known as , the IBD Warrior.

Its been a big month recovering from a heart attack, increased treatment but still going strong. We donated 30 bears to the Warragul hospital IBD infusion clinic. And 10 to the Gippsland ostomates group at their monthly get together.

Its going to get harder before it gets easier. But it will get better, you just have to make it through the hard stuff.

We have 2 raffles running this month.

The first one has only 40 tickets at $20 each.
The second has only 100 tickets available
$5 each .
There is 9 gift cards to be won altogether valued at $325
Prizes to be drawn at 7pm on monday March 23rd 2026 ADST
All proceeds will go to IBD patient care. this could be paying for medication, home help, transport help for treatment.

In 2026 our aim is to run 2 subsidised wellness retreats for adults with IBD. There is currently something for children and teens run by CCA but not much for adults. We are also looking to help lighten the load a little with a free monthly clean to a member of the IBD community. We will be running smaller raffles through the year with bigger prizes as well as a boxed up afternoon tea for IBD that you can buy to share with your office. as well as our Merch. Welcome to 2026 ... we are hitting the ground running with a colonoscopy and endoscopy on the 7th ... so prep starts on the 3rd for me as I have to do a 2 day white diet and 2 day clear diet before the prep... tell me in the comments if you want to know more about what that looks like for me.

The last few days have been crazy in my house.... our kids are all home and I have been smoking meat .... these are the 3 different meals I made there wasn't alot left over ... but enough for sandwiches for lunches ... and a bit of extra to take camping tomorrow

This is Meal 3
smoked brisket with a Texas chilli rub ... smoked lamb backstrap with a cherry wood rub... using apple wood chips soaked in gentleman's jacks bourbon for 3 days (still damp) and ex whiskey barrel pieces
Crispy roast potato salad with a bacon, mustard and chive dressing (gf)
Lebanese Sauteed greenbeens(gf)
And American style dressing with cranberries, smoked paprika and garlic and beefstock (not a chicken and herb base)

The last few days have been crazy in my house.... our kids are all home and I have been smoking meat .... these are the 3 different meals I made there wasn't alot left over ... but enough for sandwiches for lunches ... and a bit of extra to take camping tomorrow

This is Meal 2
Smoke roasted duck and smoke roasted chicken using gentleman's jacks bourbon soaked apple wood chips (gf)
American style dressing (with a chicken and herb base both normal and gluten free due to)
Creamy potato bake (gf)
Sauteed cabbage and Brussels sprouts in a creamy French onion and leek sauce (gf)
