Our Story
Moe Life Skills is a not-for-profit NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) provider of quality education, training, disability and community services.
We are an adult and community education facility that offers a range of activities, programs and further education across a variety of local settings.
We work with participants, their families and carers to identify aspirations and develop clear pathways to achieve their short-term and long-term goals.
We collaborate with local businesses and community organisations including primary schools, local football clubs, aged care facilities, supermarkets, town halls, galleries etc. to equip our participants with real-world and meaningful learning experiences.
Moe Life Skills operates from 3 locations within Moe: the High Street facility; the Parer Avenue facility; and a community hub also on High Street. We also run a cafe, canteen and catering business.
We are uniquely positioned as a learn local organisation and a registered training organisation to provide stepping stones to lifelong learning. We specialise in capacity building for participation; education and training; health and well-being; life and living skills; and the arts.
Our participants are actively engaged within the community. They are involved in a range of local community activities including developing and performing our much anticipated annual theatre performance, and producing paintings and woodwork for sale at local galleries and markets.
We are good at what we do because we employ passionate and qualified staff, and take professional development very seriously. We are directed by a dedicated Board of Management from a diverse range of industries.
We are not in the business of care taking or rapid expansion. We are serious about developing life skills and graduating people with disabilities into an inclusive community.
