At GCS – Raising Awareness One Drive at a Time Inc, everything we do is driven by real people with real passion. Today, we want to introduce the incredible team who make our mission possible every single day.

✨ Abby – Founder
A mother of five and the heart of GCS. Abby has always carried a deep passion for helping others, and now she does it with her kids right beside her. Her lived experience, compassion and unstoppable drive are the foundation of everything GCS stands for.

✨ Bryce – Co-Founder
A dedicated father and the energy of our team. Bryce loves lifting people’s spirits and refuses to stand by while others struggle. His positivity, strength and commitment to support the community pushes GCS forward every day.

✨ Mary – Team Member
A loving mum of one, caring, warm and full of humour. Mary brings joy, heart and dedication to everything she does. She loves helping people and is a huge team player who always shows up for the community.

✨ Cheryl – Team Member
A hardworking, loving and caring mum who despite her busy schedule, brings incredible value to GCS. Cheryl’s generosity, ideas and willingness to help strengthen our outreach in amazing ways.

✨ Brian – Team Member
A father and a straight-forward, honest person with a soft heart. Brian has a deep passion for helping others and always puts people above himself. His reliability and compassion make him an irreplaceable part of our team.

While the page might seem a little quiet… behind the scenes we’ve been absolutely full throttle at GCS – Raising Awareness One Drive at a Time Inc. 🔥

We’re organising, planning and building some HUGE things that we can’t wait to roll out, new events, stronger community support, more outreach, and fresh collaborations that will help us reach even more families doing it tough. The momentum right now is unreal, and 2025 is shaping up to be our biggest year yet! 🙌💛

💛 A Little Reminder of What We Do

GCS is all about showing up for our community. We support individuals and families across Victoria by:

✨ Providing food, essentials and emergency assistance
✨ Supporting mental health and wellbeing through connection and community
✨ Running outreach days and travelling to where support is needed
✨ Organising events to raise awareness for mental health, homelessness and crisis support
✨ Offering a safe, judgement-free space for anyone needing help, a chat or guidance
✨ Partnering with other organisations to strengthen community support across the state

Every single thing we do comes from the heart, powered by volunteers and people who genuinely care.

We know trust matters, so here’s exactly where your support goes:

✔️ Toys and gifts for kids doing it tough

🚨🚨The other day we had the absolute pleasure of taking Jay and one of his beautiful dingoes out for a walk. 🚨🚨

Sometimes it’s the simplest things that make the biggest difference, and this walk was exactly what Jay needed. Getting out, breathing fresh air, and reconnecting with his dingo helped his mental health and gave him a chance to feel like himself again.

We also brought our boys along, and they made sure Jay felt nothing but love and support the whole way. That’s what community is about, showing up, lifting each other up, and reminding people that they’re not alone.

We ended up walking over 5kms, talking, listening, laughing, and supporting one another every step of the way.

We only managed to get these few pics, and we have Jay’s full permission to post them. ❤️

‼️ CALLING FOR COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE ‼️

Unfortunately our outreach space has been broken into for the second time, and while we are extremely grateful that nothing was taken, it has left us feeling unsettled and concerned — especially with all the toys we’ve collected for kids and families doing it tough this year.

To keep everything safe, we feel the best step forward is to hire a storage unit to protect the toys and donations leading up to Christmas.
This is an extra cost we weren’t prepared for, and we’re reaching out to our amazing community for support.

If you’re able to help us cover the cost of securing a storage unit, any donation big or small makes a world of difference.

🎅 GCS x Gippsland Santa Run Collaboration! 🎁

We are so excited to announce that on December 20th we will be teaming up with the amazing Gippsland Santa Run crew for a huge day of giving back to our community!

🚗✨ From the morning onward, we’ll be driving alongside the Gippsland Santa Run group through Moe and beyond, spreading Christmas cheer and making sure no one feels alone this festive season.

🎄 Then at 5pm, we’ll all be heading to the Moe Neighbourhood House where we’ll be firing up a BBQ, offering support, and handing out toys to kids and families doing it tough this year.

If you or someone you know could use a little extra help this Christmas, message us to put your name on the list, no judgment, no questions, just community. We’ve got you. ❤️

The other day we had the absolute pleasure of visiting some gorgeous little dingo babies, and yes, we got ALL the cuddles! 🐾💛
It was such a beautiful, grounding moment to spend time with them. Their gentle nature, curiosity, and innocence reminded us just how powerful animals can be in our lives.

Animals play a huge part in recovery and healing.
Their presence naturally lowers stress, brings comfort, and offers a sense of connection that words often can’t. Whether it’s a wagging tail, a warm cuddle, or simply sitting beside them, animals have an incredible ability to calm the mind and lift the heart.

Moments like this are precious.
Moments like this remind us to breathe.
Moments like this remind us why we do what we do. 💛🐾

If you ever get the chance to connect with animals, take it. Your soul will thank you.

✨ What an unforgettable Wednesday! ✨

On Wednesday we had the honour of taking part in the powerful International Men’s Day Visual Shoe Presentation on Parliament lawn, an event that stops you in your tracks and reminds you exactly why this work matters.

Every single pair of shoes laid out represented one man lost to su***de in the last year. One son, father, brother, uncle, grandad… one life. This display is designed to spark conversations, raise awareness, and push for real, meaningful change for men’s mental health and support systems in Australia.

And we’re not done.
This Tuesday, we’re heading back up to Canberra for the second shoe event, where politicians and key leaders will be present. It’s another massive opportunity to amplify the voices of the men we've lost and to keep advocating for those who are still here and silently struggling.

We are proud, emotional, and deeply committed, and we’re taking that dedication right back with us again.

We are incredibly proud to announce that GCS is now officially DGR Endorsed (Deductible Gift Recipient status)!

This is a massive milestone for us and for the work we do within our community.

🚨IMPORTANT UPDATE🚨

We want to apologise, but our outreach will be closed tomorrow. After a massive few weeks, we are absolutely exhausted and need a day to rest and recoup so we can continue showing up at our best.

However, if anyone needs food, support, or help, please message us. We won’t just stop because we’re exhausted, we will always do what we can to make sure no one is left without the essentials.

We also want to give a massive thank you to two amazing people (from one school) who donated 7 boxes of food today. Your kindness means the world to us, and we are forever grateful. ❤️
