Dear Sisters,

I’m new to the area and this move is such a beautiful new beginning for me. I would love to connect with like-minded women to share, learn and grow together. I’d really like to host a circle each New Moon to reflect on the month gone by and to set intentions and plant seeds for the month to come in soulful connection.

The new moon is a such a beautiful time of stillness and renewal — a fertile space to release what no longer serves us and call upon that which our hearts are ready to receive.

Let’s drink warm tea, cleanse our crystals and share wisdoms & stories together.

So many things I’d like to learn more about; crystal energy, astrology, shamanic practice, chakras, tarot, sound healing etc etc… it would be perfect if we could open space each month to share.

Someone asked me today why do we need to learn to breathe? And it's an excellent question! I remember laughing heartily the first time I heard of breathwork 🤣🤣🤣. Really?! WT? This is like selling ice to Eskimos! However...

Some years later I was struggling a bit with life and went to a yoga class where the teacher dropped some in. It was dark and I was relaxed and no-one was watching so I just went along with it. Long story short it changed my life. I started to read about how the way we breathe determines the chemical make-up of our body.

I discovered we are absolutely amazing! One good deep breath rebalances our oxygen and CO2 levels (amongst other gases) which in turn has huge effects on the levels of stress hormones in our blood, the hertz of our brainwave frequencies and the way we move out of fight/flight/freeze into a state rest & digest.

And the best thing of all I learned is that is WE ARE IN CONTROL of all of that! 🥳 ... yep you guessed it... breathwork!!

Life is stressful. Of that I never met anyone who disagreed. It's gotten worse these past few years.

A lot of us spend a great deal of time in 'ANXIETY BREATH' (where we get a shock, breathe in and forget to breathe out properly again so we're all up in the chest and head holding our breath and talking at a rate of knots with our minds spinning out of control) OR 'DEPRESSED BREATH' (where something makes us sad and we breathe out forgetting to breathe in properly again so we're all down in the stomach holding our breath feeling low with no energy).

Both have us spiralling downwards feeling bad ☹️.

Learning to 'snap' out of these states is crucial to feeling good again. And that's what my breathwork offers 🥰🥰🥰.

But it also offers more. It offers peace, joy & happiness. By turning stress hormones into happy hormones 🥳.

Just wanted to say thank you for all those who connected with me at my free Community Event last week. I have taken all the wonderful suggestions and created a Tuesday evening Yin Yoga class 6.30-7.30pm at that beautiful Goomeri Memorial Hall starting Tuesday 19th August. Love to see you there for a wonderfully relaxing, restorative experience 💜

SO WHAT IS YIN YOGA & WHO IS IT FOR?
The principles of Yin are built on the principles of Chinese Medicine.

🩵We work with the fascia of the body, not the muscles; in particular we focus on lengthening and strengthening the ligaments and tendons in order to regain flexibility and movement around the joints.

💙When we do this we not only reduce pain and increase mobility but we also strengthen the fascia that supports & nourishes our internal organs. For example when we do a Yin pose for spinal flexion or extension we also nurture our bladder & kidney.

💜In a single class we endeavour to work on poses to support the upper & lower body, sidelines and front & back extensions which in turn support all of the major organs in our body.

Yin is really really good for those of us with niggles or limited mobility; especially in the knees, hips and upper body or those of us who do or have done long term sedentary or repetitive physical work. It's great for those wishing to become more active again but concerned about the risk of injury. I weave breathwork and positive mindset tools and tips into each session in order to rebalance our stress hormones and brainwave (stress) frequencies. So it's also amazingly relaxing.

To get the best results the poses are held for a minimum of 3 minutes and it's my job to get you there! Each body is as unique as our fingerprints so there is no competition! We work to our own level, niggles, ligament shortening and skeletal structure. What one person finds easy another may take longer to build up to the 3 minutes and vice versa.

Because of that I do recommend a course of 6 sessions so that you get the best results. Each session comes with a home-play pose to do each day until the next session! A course of 6 sessions is $90 and they do not have to be used for consecutive weeks... although of course that would be a great goal... I understand life can get in the way of that! You are also more than welcome to join us on a casual basis ($20 per class)
