The irony is real.
Many patients tell me they’re afraid to move because they don’t want to make things worse.
A surprising number of patients visit our offices because they fear they will exacerbate whatever minor pain they have. But... they won’t share that fact. They need to be asked... because they don’t need surgery, but can be convinced of having it because of their fear. They often just need encouragement and guidance.
Stillness is rarely protective. It’s often the real threat.
Movement supports joint health, maintains muscle, protects balance, and drives metabolic function.
Without it, decline isn’t just possible — it’s predictable.
You don’t need to crush workouts. You need to keep moving.
Because it’s not exercise that damages us.
It’s the absence of it.
