Our Nurses at Pittwater Family are such a important part of the team. We thank our nurses for everything they do! We are so lucky to have Ash, Tat and Linda. We celebrated with a sweet treat and gave them all a gift of appreciation.
🌟 Celebrating Primary Care Nurses Day! 🌟
Did you know that over 98,000 primary care nurses across Australia are working tirelessly to support our health every day? From wound care and vaccinations to diagnostic screenings and blood tests, they’re the first line of defence in our healthcare system, ensuring that help is always there when we need it.
This Primary Care Nurses Day, let’s celebrate the incredible work of some unsung heroes in our community. Primary care nurses not only provide essential care, but they also build strong, lasting relationships with patients, empowering them to live healthier lives.
One of the programs supporting primary care nursing in our region is SNHN’s Nurse Transition Program. Over 80 nurses have successfully made the transition into primary care with tailored training and mentorship, enhancing the care we all rely on.
As Kerry McBride, Coordinator of the Nurse Transition Program, reflects: “For primary care nurses, every day is about building relationships with patients and supporting them on their health journeys. I love teaching and supporting nurses to achieve their best and watching them blossom with guidance and support. I’m proud to be part of a program that nurtures and supports nurses and enables the best outcomes for patients."
Let’s give a huge shoutout to all the primary care nurses who make a difference every single day! 🙌
