đź’ĄMONA VALE AND SURROUNDING SUBURBSđź’Ą Golly Gosh wants to help you! We would love to support local businesses in and around Mona Vale by sending customers your way and getting you even more known for when the lock down is over!

The team at Golly Gosh will be putting together free giveaway bags to hand out to our customers filled with local business goodies!

Golly Gosh is in the very fortunate position where we still have a very busy day and night takeaway trade, including Door Dash deliveries which provides the perfect opportunity to give back and support our surrounding businesses by handing out any marketing material, menus, flyers, business cards, absolutely anything.

We are calling for any local businesses that would like to contribute to these goodie bags with absolutely anything that you deem worthy.

I know this is not a time where businesses can spend up big, so anything that you have on hand that will help customers know who you are and what products or services that you offer for after the lock down period is going to greatly support!.

Please drop off your goodies to Golly Gosh @ Shop 2 / 1761 Pittwater Road, Mona Vale between the hours of Wed - Sun, 7am - 2:30pm.

Please drop off what you have over the course of this week. We will then collate everything and prepare the bags on Monday 19th of July ready for disbursement to our customers on Tuesday 20th July!

We really hope this helps in some small way! 🤗

NSW Health was notified this evening that fragments of the virus that causes COVID-19 have been detected in the Marrickville Sewage Network.

This catchment includes about 42,000 people and takes sewage from the following suburbs: Dulwich Hill, Marrickville, Summer Hill, Lewisham, Ashfield, Haberfield, Petersham, Lilyfield and Leichhardt.

NSW Health is asking everyone in these areas to be especially vigilant in monitoring for symptoms, and if they appear get tested and isolate immediately until a negative result is received.

NSW Health urges everyone in NSW with even the mildest symptoms, such as headache, fatigue, cough, sore throat or runny nose, to come forward immediately for testing, then isolate until they receive a negative result.

There are more than 300 COVID-19 testing locations across NSW, many of which are open seven days a week. To find your nearest clinic visit

Whilst this is not directly related to our area it is important that with all the inter club sports happening we need to stay vigilant!

NSW Health’s sewage surveillance program has detected fragments of the virus that causes COVID-19 at treatment plants and sewage networks in Burwood Beach (sampled 21 April), Allambie Heights (sampled 22 April) and Merimbula (sampled 21 April).

The Burwood Beach Sewage Treatment Plant serves about 225,000 people and takes in the Newcastle City area and the surrounding suburbs of Dudley, Charlestown, Jesmond, Lambton, New Lambton, Mayfield, Elermore Vale, Wallsend, Kotara, Garden Suburb, Adamstown Heights, Kahibah, Highfields, Merewether, Waratah West, Georgetown and Carrington.

The Allambie Heights sewage network serves about 83,400 people in the Northern Head catchment, and includes the suburbs of Allambie Heights, Balgowlah, Curl Curl, North Curl Curl, North Manly, Freshwater, Collaroy, Collaroy Plateau, Narrabeen, Wheeler Heights, Oxford Falls, Dee Why, Cromer, Beacon Hill, Narraweena, Brookvale, Frenchs Forest.

The Merimbula sewage treatment plant serves about 15,000 people on the South Coast.

These positive sewage results may indicate the presence of people who have recently recovered from COVID-19, as they can continue to shed fragments of the virus for several weeks after recovery.

However, NSW Health is concerned that they could signal undetected cases in the community, and asks people in these areas to be alert for any cold-like symptoms that could signal COVID 19, including sore throat, runny nose, cough, fever or headache. If symptoms appear, please isolate and get tested immediately, and remain isolated until a negative result is received.

There are more than 300 COVID-19 testing locations across NSW. To find your nearest clinic, visit: https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/how-to-protect-yourself-and-others/clinics or contact your GP.
