Why does it matter if egg freezing is elective or medical? Because it’s not just semantics, it’s about timing, access and support.

If your fertility is at risk due to things like cancer treatment, early menopause or severe endo, you may need to freeze urgently, and you could be eligible for Medicare rebates or private health cover in Australia.
