Mountain Pilates was created by founder Jeanette Tatton from a desire for everyone to be able to move painfree and walk taller and with ease. Our aim is to be able to provide an approachable, comfortable space for all to feel as though they can reach their desired goals regardless of the condition or age of their bodies/minds. We have created a purpose built studio in one of the worlds most picturesque places to live - Monbulk, Mt Dandenong. We offer classes in -

Meet Glen - local foodie, wood-stacker, and absolute legend.

Six months ago, Glen’s back had one clear message: “NOPE.”

He walked into our studio with a back that gave him grief every time he lifted a load of wood. Stacking the winter pile meant stopping three times just to ease the pain.

Fast forward to now, he’s stacked twice the wood, didn’t stop once, and still rolled into class the next morning. 🙌

This is what steady & consistent movement can do. Bit by bit, week by week, your body starts saying yes to things that used to feel impossible.

For the very first time, we’re offering Myotherapy sessions right here in our studio.

Myotherapy focuses on easing pain, restoring mobility, and helping you feel at ease in your body. It’s perfect for anyone recovering from injuries, managing tightness, or wanting to complement their Pilates practice.

Think: massage, dry needling, cupping, stretching, and tailored take-home exercises — all designed to support how your body moves and feels.

Sometimes the right teacher lands in your path at just the right time 💚

Meet Jo Chandler, our newest yoga teacher here at Mountain Pilates.

Jo’s yoga journey began back in 2008 in India, where she trained in Hatha Yoga. From there, she kept exploring, diving into restorative practices, pregnancy yoga, and more therapeutic approaches like Scaravelli yoga. She even ran her own studio in Switzerland! Teaching everyone from beginners to seasoned yogis, across group classes, privates, and workshops.

Now she’s here in Monbulk, ready to share her steady, grounding style of Hatha Yoga with our community. Jo’s classes weave in breathwork, mindfulness, and her rich experience from years of practice and study, a blend that’s both physical and soulful.

Slow down, roll up your sleeves, and feel the clay between your fingers. 🥰

On Saturday 8th November, we’re welcoming ceramic artist Claire Sunderland (The Artistic Dragonfly on Facebook / https://www.facebook.com/theartisticdragonfly) into the Mountain Pilates studio for a special Clay, Colour & Creativity Workshop.

Across the afternoon you’ll:
🖐 Hand shape and mould your very own clay plate
🎨 Explore colour and design as you paint with underglazes
🔥 Hand your piece over to Claire to glaze + fire. It will return to you as a glossy, food-safe plate you can use or treasure

It’s creative, grounding, and honestly, such a fun way to spend a spring afternoon. No experience needed – the perfect chance to pause, connect, and create something beautiful with your hands.
