UPDATE: Our current capacity for Chiropractic Care is Urgent Care only. The Australian Chiropractic Association has sent the criteria for care below.

The definition of urgent clinical care for allied health services is defined as:

Direct clinical care (and other clinical support activity necessary to support direct clinical care) that prevents a significant change/deterioration in functional independence necessitating escalation of care OR is required as an adjunct to other urgent medical/surgical interventions.

For example, urgent clinical care:

- that avoids a potential hospital admission or emergency department presentation;
- that avoids serious acute consequences or acute deterioration;
- that presents/delays the need for further specialist medical or surgical intervention;
- that prevents an increase in care needs that would necessitate additional carer supports or change in accommodation needs;
that limits secondary complications post surgery; or
where deferral would lead to long term adverse consequences (e.g. delays to child development).

❗Attention Students❗ Science says hand writing your notes improves memory and recall of information compared to those who used devices for note taking ✍️📚 and it's 25% faster ❗

"A study of Japanese university students and recent graduates has revealed that writing on physical paper can lead to more brain activity when remembering the information an hour later. Researchers say that the unique, complex, spatial and tactile information associated with writing by hand on physical paper is likely what leads to improved memory."

Writing by hand increases brain activity in recall tasks over taking notes on a tablet or smartphone. Additionally, those who write by hand on paper are 25% quicker at note-taking tasks than those who use digital technology.
