Our team are qualified and highly skilled in all areas of Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology. This week, we were thrilled to host our valued partners from Rehab for an insightful Continuing Professional Development (CPD) session — held right in our car park! 🚗💡

It was an incredible opportunity to deepen our understanding of assistive technology and learn directly from some of the best in the field. A huge thank you to the Active Rehab team for sharing their time, expertise, and passion with us — our clinicians walked away inspired and equipped with even more knowledge to support our clients’ independence.

This week in our monthly company team meeting, we celebrated Ruel and Koko’s anniversary here at The OT Group. 🥳🪴

Celebrating 2 years with Ruel, where he has transitioned to be an incredible team leader and a new graduate mentor. Outside of work, Ruel enjoys all things reading and water sports, with a touch of basketball and table tennis on the side 🎾

Koko celebrates her 1 year anniversary since she joined us from WA, where she worked as an Occupational Therapist beforehand. Koko brings positivity and passion to help her clients achieve their goals. Outside of work, Koko loves spending time with her family soaking up the outdoors ☀️

✨ New Team Member - Tom ✨ 

Tom recently completed his Master of Occupational Therapy and is joining us today as an Occupational Therapist at OT Group’s Moonee Ponds clinic.

Originally from Sydney, Tom recently made the move to Melbourne, which he’s quickly fallen in love with! His background includes roles in pharmacy, hospital administration, and COVID-19 vaccination centres, all of which deepened his passion for helping others.

Outside of work, you’ll find Tom doing reformer pilates, exploring Melbourne’s amazing cafés, and embracing the city’s vibrant culture (as someone with Italian roots, he can confirm — the coffee lives up to the hype!).

Tom currently has availability to support new clients with the following services:

✨ Today we celebrate a huge milestone – Mikaela Ervin’s 4-year anniversary with OT Group! 🥂 ✨

From an early-career OT and founding member of our Bendigo team to her current role as Operations Manager, Mikaela’s journey has been nothing short of inspiring. She’s grown her Bendigo team from just two OTs to 12, while also supporting the whole OT Group team. Her leadership, passion, and commitment to advancing occupational therapy have also helped OT Group consistently be recognised as one of Bendigo’s top three OT services. Mikaela was also recognised as a finalist for the Allied Health Awards OT of the Year in 2024! 👏

Beyond work, Mikaela leads a busy life — from cheering on cricket and football as a proud WAG, to “training” for the local 100 pint club 🍻, and lending her skills as a sports trainer strapping shoulders on winter Saturdays. With her partner Dooley and their mischievous pup Nellie 🐾, weekends are often spent on the sidelines or travelling for AFL — though the household is still divided on team colours! 🏈

We’re honoured to be named a FINALIST for the 2025 One Community Australian Disability Service Awards in the category of “Allied Health Excellence in Practice.”

For those who’ve followed our journey—you might remember that we were proud recipients of this award back in 2022. Since then, we’ve continued to be recognised as finalists every year, and this consistent acknowledgment is a testament to the incredible work of our team.
