When did you last stop and really listen to what a child thinks about the world?

The Quadrangle is a performance that does exactly that. Whiskey & Boots interview kids aged 6–16 and bring their words to the stage exactly as they were spoken β€” no script, no editing, just the real thing. Add live music and a stunning youth art exhibition, and you've got a night that's as thought-provoking as it is joyful.

It'll make you laugh. It might make you tear up. And it'll definitely make you ask yourself β€” did I become the person I wanted to be?

Some of you have already spotted that one of the actors in The Quadrangle is none other than Georgia King β€” former drama teacher at Central Midlands Senior High School! 🎭

Now she's back on stage and heading to the Moora Performing Arts Centre on Friday 22 May for a very special performance - featuring local Moora kids.

The Quadrangle is a unique show where actors wear headphones and relay real interviews with Moora kids β€” word for word, unfiltered and unscripted. Accompanied by live music, it's funny, heartfelt, and genuinely surprising.

There will also be artwork displayed during and after the show from kids around Moora, which shows just how they think the future will look, what scares them and what being brave means to them!

It’s a great show for everyone of all ages to attend, so grab yours below and we’ll see you there.

When: 22nd May
Where: Moora Performing Arts Centre

🌾 Hay Bales Festival 2026 β€” you delivered!

On Saturday 2 May, more than 300 people came together at the Moora Performing Arts Centre for a night of exceptional talent and community celebration β€” and what a celebration it was.

The evening opened with a Welcome to Country accompanied by traditional dance from Moora's Yued Dance Group, before 90+ performers took to the stage across two shows from 4pm to 8:30pm. From Australian Baroque performing hits from the infectious energy of KPop Demon Hunters, to Nessun Dorma and I Am Australian β€” there was something for everyone.

The schools absolutely brought the house down 🏠❀️ β€” Moora Primary School Choir, Miling Primary School Choir, and St Joseph's Primary School Choir had the audience beaming. And youth guitar group Out of Towners proved the next generation of WA musicians is in very safe hands.

The full lineup was a who's who of local and regional talent:

Annie Johnson β€’ Rachel Christian β€’ Louise Lawson β€’ Emerson Lawson β€’ Aaron Woolley β€’ Leanne Woolley β€’ Michael Edwards β€’ Lareece Edwards β€’ Veeda Edwards β€’ Duncan Peter β€’ Bill Lullfitz β€’ Les Crane β€’ Colin Crane β€’ Peter Barrett-Lennard β€’ Ronald Martens β€’ Alan Stoner β€’ John Brown β€’ Rick Allen β€’ Ric Ellison β€’ Wes Porter β€’ Alou Badeng β€’ Nyanwach Badeng β€’ NyaLaham Badeng β€’ Leila Mendoza β€’ Donna Vanzetti β€’ Tania Vanzetti β€’ Jaci Ralph β€’ Fran Abbey β€’ Moya Coppin β€’ Sara Kenny β€’ Robyn Martin β€’ Rhyanna Musarra Frannando β€’ Gwen White β€’ Melanie White β€’ Kaye Wilkins β€’ Cameron Wilkes β€’ Tracy Sievewright β€’ Beau Gale β€’ Alby Gardiner β€’ Charlize Botha Kelly β€’ Jack Botha Kelly β€’ Lara Botha Kelly β€’ Jack Grey β€’ Wyatt Panizza

After being rescheduled due to Cyclone Narelle, the night went ahead in the warmest of spirits β€” closing out with a spread from local food vans under the stars. This one was built entirely on community spirit, and the Shire of Moora couldn't be prouder 🧑
