Autumn Restorative Mini Retreat with Ellen Laarhoven. Sunday 24th May, 3 - 5pm. $50. Letting go, slowing down. A gentle space to rest, restore and reconnect. A coming back home to yourself. This retreat combines gentle and yin yoga, yoga nidra, meditation, pranayama and mantra. These mini retreats usually fill. Please arrive 10 minutes early, the door will be locked after the retreat starts. You're welcome to use our mats, blankets, bolsters and cushions. As you come to classes remember Hatha yoga is an internal self discipline, it's never a contest and there is no need to compare yourself with anyone else. A relaxed mind is worth more than being able to touch your toes. No two bodies are the same and everyone has their own abilities and limitations so work with yours with love, and just enjoy your practice. Advanced postures do not necessarily a true Yogi make! As the postures loosen your body, they'll loosen your mind as well, and over time the ego won't be so prominent, heart will come through more and more. It's your own body that will let you know when you can take the postures further and at whatever level you're practising, you can flourish, connecting with your Self and bringing transformation, the whole point of Yoga. The journey and the destination are the same.
