A corn is a thickened area of skin, usually on the toes or soles of your foot, caused by repeated pressure or friction. They're often painful with pressure.
There are two main types of corn:
Hard corns – usually on the tops of toes or outer edges of the foot
Soft corns – found between toes, moist and rubbery
You should consult our podiatrist if:
-The corn is very painful or inflamed
-You have diabetes, poor circulation, or nerve damage
-There's pus, redness, or signs of infection
-Home treatments haven’t worked after a few weeks
Our podiatrist will go through the process of removing the corn and will discuss further treatment options to prevent return or in some cases ongoing treatment options.
