April Adventures 🌼🐣

Our April School Holiday Groups are here, and they’re packed with fun, learning, and hands-on experiences!

🥕 Easter-themed activities – crafts, games, and sensory fun
🌺 ANZAC Day learning – meaningful activities focused on remembrance, teamwork, and community
🍎 Food Exploration – trying new foods, building confidence, and developing positive relationships with food

These all-day camps run from 9am to 2pm, giving kids plenty of time to build friendships, develop skills, and enjoy a range of engaging activities in a supportive environment led by our allied health team.

Our groups are designed to support social skills, communication, regulation, and confidence while having lots of fun along the way.

🐹 Unexpected Therapy Assistants at the Clinic… 🎨
We always talk about motivating therapy tools… but we didn’t realise our most popular ones would have whiskers!
Our clinic guinea pigs are the real VIPs around here! They’ve been:
• motivating clients to push through tricky tasks
• sparking lots of conversations
• and apparently… inspiring some very impressive artwork!
One of our clients was so inspired that they grabbed the whiteboard marker and drew this masterpiece of a guinea pig for us! They even had a go at spelling using their best phonetic attempt!
Honestly, we absolutely love it! Trying, sounding it out, and having a go is exactly what learning looks like.
Who knew a couple of tiny, squeaky and LOUD co-clinicians could bring so much motivation (and creativity) into the clinic! 🐹✨

Medicare Has Expanded Speech Pathology Support!

From the 1st of March, children and young people under 25 may now be eligible for more Medicare‑funded speech pathology sessions.

This update could make a real difference for children experiencing:

• Stuttering
• Difficulty being understood
• Persistent speech sound errors
• Childhood apraxia of speech or dysarthria
• Speech differences related to cleft lip and/or palate

What’s now available (up to age 25):

Up to 8 assessment sessions
Up to 20 therapy sessions
$87.25 rebate per eligible session

Early access to support strengthens confidence, participation, friendships and learning.
