A fabulous highlight of our trip to Dubbo was meeting some beautiful families who have connected with Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Western Sydney!

Last Thursday, we teamed up with Allied Health Partnerships (AHP) for a special Open Day at Dubbo West Public School!

From hands-on workshops with local teachers to a heartfelt afternoon tea with Dubbo families, the day was all about connection, collaboration, and community.

Dubbo West Public School have been receiving services through AHP since 2023.
Principal Jody Hall said, "Despite our town being the ‘hub’ of the Central West, allied health services are not as accessible as the need requires. With this in mind, Dubbo West Public School actively sought outside support to provide our vulnerable students with access to much-needed speech and occupational therapy services."

The recently forged partnership between AHP and RMHC GWS will provide access to Specialised Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy services for children supported by RMHC GWS. These services will also be extended to the schools attended by the children, ensuring they receive consistent and comprehensive care from home to school. AHP currently supports over 75 schools throughout NSW and in Term 1 alone, have supported 3,982 students as well as 829 teachers, through their school-based programs. In combination with RMHC GWS, this support will expand to more families in need.
