✨✨✨We’re currently seeking an independent support worker to assist a young adult male participant based in Narangba, QLD.
⏰Availability: Monday and Friday afternoons.

👀 The focus of this role is to support the participant in becoming more active and independent, and to help prepare him for living on his own.

⏰This is a short-term opportunity, as the participant is expected to relocate interstate in about a month.

🤩While the participant seems to feel more comfortable with a male support worker, we are open to female applicants who are confident and capable in this space.

Support Worker Wanted – Lutwyche (Male Participant, 60s)
Evening Shifts | 4PM–7PM | Flexible Roster | Immediate Start

We’re on the lookout for one or more compassionate and reliable Support Workers to assist a male NDIS participant in his 60s, located in Lutwyche. This is a low-support role with no personal care required.

About the Role:
🕓 Shifts: 4PM–7PM, available Monday to Sunday
📅 We’re flexible and open to hiring 2 or 3 workers to cover the week – you won’t be expected to work all 7 days
🍽️ Main duty: Preparing simple, home-style meals and following the participant’s preferences and instructions
🚗 Transport: Must have a car and valid driver’s license
🩺 Note: Some flexibility with start/end times may be needed around medical appointments

What We’re Looking For:

- A respectful and adaptable person who’s happy to learn the participant’s way of doing things

- Confident in the kitchen – basic cooking skills a must

- Reliable, calm, and good with routines

- Current driver’s license and access to your own car (Car must be suitable to fit a portable wheelchair)

This is exactly why we do what we do!
Being able to help individuals change their life by just doing our jobs well.

Having networks that you actually connect with & trust is so important.

Please follow Northwest Community Group Inc. as Paul has an amazing Charity helping individuals suffering with homelessness. Paul gives so much of his time, money and own belongings to help our friends without a permanent and safe roof over their heads.

I have an amazing update regarding our friend with no hands.

First I can tell you his name is Robert - he was happy for me to share his story.

Secondly - HE HAS ACCOMMODATION!! The amazing Tiegan from Alliance Disability Support went to see him today to get access to his plan, and was able to find accommodation for him straight away, and drove him there.

I can't stress how amazing Tiegan has been in supporting people on the streets that I bring to her. She always has time, and makes the drive down from Morayfield to help people regularly. I'm so grateful for her support and passion in helping our friends out there.

Robert has struggled with addiction and homelessness for a long time. He's been clean now for some time, but is still struggling with the homelessness side - we are committed to staying connected with him and assisting him as best we can.

Rob is also a talented artist, and an inspiration to all - He's a lovely guy, and I'm so glad I met him.

I'll be in touch with him over the next couple of days to find out what further assistance he needs to be settled, and I'll let everyone know if we need anything.

Stories like this make me so happy - all possible because of the support of you all. Pat yourselves on the back, we are doing special stuff here

CASUAL SUPPORT WORKERS - WANTED

We are seeking experienced and talented Support Workers to join our growing team.

At Alliance Disability Support we support individuals with a disability, offering a range of person-centered supports to meet their unique circumstances and individual needs.

What would your day look like as a Support Worker?

-Working autonomously to provide appropriate levels of support to maintain and improve the client’s level of independence. This may include community participation, skill building, vocational preparation, relationship building, and various other needs.
-Respond to the client’s needs and collaborate positively with their families, support people and other providers in their lives.
-Keep accurate and complete records of activities via progress notes
-Personal care (showering, toileting, manual transfer, etc.)
-Administer medications
-Providing support with High Intensity supports
-Domestic support (laundry, light cleaning, etc.)
-Social support (companionship)
-Community access

A genuine desire to provide quality care and enhance the lives of our participants IS CRUCIAL.

Requirements/Qualifications
• Blue Card & Yellow Card
• Current First Aid/CPR Certificate
• Current Driver Licence
• Current Comprehensive Car Insurance
• NDIS Commission Worker Orientation Module (or be willing to obtain)
• Minimum Cert III, lived experience, or currently studying.

What You Need to be Successful
• Access to a registered and insured and reliable motor vehicle
• Experience dealing with physical and intellectual disabilities.
• Active listening and communication skills
• Experience with domestic duties
• Work within the NDIS Code of Conduct
