Members of our Rockpool leadership team were on-site at Kedron this week... A key milestone as we move forward with the development of our aged care home in Kedron, set to open in 2027.

It’s always a special moment when vision meets progress on the ground. The visit marks a tangible step in bringing to life a home designed with innovation, comfort and care at its heart, right in the northern suburbs of Brisbane.

Construction has reached an exciting milestone... The first floor is about to go up.

With each stage, we’re getting closer to bringing another beautiful Rockpool home to life.

Dear Rockpool Residents, Families and Team,

As we prepare to step away from Rockpool Morayfield, Carseldine, Pelican Waters and Songbird Oxley, I find myself reflecting on the extraordinary journey we’ve shared — one built on compassion, resilience, and a deep commitment to the dignity of those in our care. We started out with a pretty clear vision to do things distinctly differently in residential aged care and to create a life re-imagined for our residents and team.

From the very beginning, Rockpool has been more than just an organisation, it has been a community — a place where lives are honoured, stories are cherished, and every person matters. Together, we’ve created something truly special and a legacy that will continue to ripple through the lives of residents, families, and team members for years to come.

I am deeply proud of what we’ve achieved. We have designed and constructed these incredible homes and pushed the limits to set a new standard for the industry.

We have weathered challenges with grace, embraced innovation with courage, and held fast to our values through every twist and turn, and there sure has been a few. COVID 19, the Brisbane floods, a Royal Commission in Aged Care Quality and Safety and a construction crisis to name a few! Most of all, we’ve built a team that leads with heart — and that, to me, is the greatest success of all.

To our carers, nurses, lifestyle, café, hospitality, quality, marketing, housekeeping, technology, development, administration and maintenance teams and volunteers, thank you! You have shown up every day with kindness, professionalism, and a strength that inspires me endlessly.

To our residents and their families: it has been an honour to walk alongside you. Your trust has been our greatest privilege.

I leave these four homes with immense gratitude and a heart full of memories that I will carry with me always.

This is not goodbye — it’s a celebration. Of everything we’ve built, everything we’ve become, and everything that lies ahead.

Important Announcement

Earlier today, residents and team members onsite were informed that the Board of Rockpool Residential Aged Care has accepted an offer from Regis Aged Care to enter into a binding agreement for the acquisition of Rockpool Morayfield, Carseldine, Pelican Waters, and Songbird Oxley.

The sale will not impact frontline roles, including nurses, carers, and support team members. However, a small number of Corporate roles will be affected.

The sale will not change residents’ living arrangements.

Construction will continue at Rockpool Northshore Hamilton and commence shortly at Rockpool Kedron.

Rockpool is committed to making a long-term, meaningful impact throughout South East Queensland. This sale will allow Rockpool to focus its efforts on building even more beautiful, aged care homes.

Once the proud owner of her very own ballet studio, Annette brought her passion to life again today in Carseldine by leading her first-ever chair ballet class with fellow residents , and it was a hit!

The room was filled with smiles, graceful moves, and joyful energy.

Because no matter your age, you never stop learning, growing, or inspiring others.

We had a special visitor at Rockpool Songbird Oxley today, with one very friendly pup bringing plenty of smiles to our residents.
