🌿 Support Worker Opportunity – Lowood 🌿

We’re looking for 1–2 caring, reliable support workers to join our team and support a pre-teen participant in the Lowood area.

About the role:
• Male support worker preferred (participant preference)
• Ideally aged 25–35
• Experience supporting preteens
• Experience with autism & ADHD
• PDA experience highly desirable
• Immediate start available
• Casual or subcontract role

This role would suit someone calm, patient, and confident in building trust through a strengths-based, neuro-affirming approach.

Calling All Heart-Led Support Workers ❤️

Are you someone who leads with love, shows up with compassion, and truly cares about the people you support? Wattle Cares4U is on the lookout for a dedicated and passionate independent disability support worker to join our team on a contract basis!

About the Role:
This is more than just a job we’re building a team of people who take a holistic, heart-first approach to support. You’ll be working with children and young people with disabilities such as Autism, ADHD, and more, helping them thrive in everyday life.

What You’ll Need:
📍6+ months experience in the disability or care sector, OR recently completed (or studying) a Cert III/IV in Individual Support
📍Experience supporting children with Autism, ADHD, or similar neurodivergence
📍All standard checks for disability support workers in Australia (NDIS Worker Screening, Blue Card, First Aid/CPR, etc.)
📍A driver’s licence and reliable car
📍Must live within 30 minutes of Coorparoo or Carina

Nice to Have (But Not Essential):
📌Experience supporting individuals with PDA, PTSD, or trauma-informed care

Independent Support Worker (Contract Role)
Wattle Cares4U is seeking an active and compassionate independent support worker to join our team for a physically engaging, purpose-driven role.

Key Details:
Location: Mango Hill
Schedule: Weekday mornings 7am–9am (daily), with potential for some afternoon shifts
Type: Independent contractor (ABN required)

About the Role:
This role is ideal for someone who is physically fit and enjoys incorporating movement and activity into their support work. You’ll also be expected to assist with:
Personal care - showers
Domestic cleaning duties
Supporting communication and engagement with a nonverbal participant
Encouraging daily routines and independence

What We’re Looking For:
A positive attitude and a passion for helping others
Experience supporting individuals with autism and nonverbal communication needs
Strong attention to detail
Comfortable with personal care and household tasks
Minimum 6 months industry experience or Cert III in Community Services or Individual Support
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
Current First Aid & CPR
Valid driver’s licence and own transport

About the Role:
We’re seeking someone who is physically fit and genuinely enjoys movement-based supports – think bushwalks, gym workouts, bike riding, or active games. This is not a sedentary role.

You’ll also be supporting with:
Daily intense physical activity
Domestic duties (household chores, tidying, basic cleaning)
Capacity building tasks
Nonverbal communication support

You must have:
A positive attitude and genuine passion for helping others
Experience supporting individuals with autism, including those who are nonverbalMinimum 6 months experience in the disability/community support sector OR a Cert III in Community Services or Individual Support

We’re Looking for a Creative Mentor!

One of our lovely clients is eager to learn new skills and is looking for a kind, patient female teacher to guide her. She would love support in learning how to:
• Use a sewing machine
• Operate an overlocker
• Crochet
• Use a Cricut machine

She already owns all the equipment and is starting from the very beginning. Her goal is to build confidence in these creative skills and eventually make thoughtful gifts for her family.

This role involves teaching one day a week for 4 hours. If you’re passionate about crafting and enjoy sharing your knowledge in a supportive and encouraging way, we’d love to hear from you!
