Today is World Sleep Day

It's a timely reminder that quality sleep is one of the foundations of good health — not a luxury. Consistently poor sleep can affect memory, mood, immune function and energy levels, and over time it may contribute to more serious conditions such as cardiovascular disease, anxiety and metabolic disorders.

With this year’s theme Sleep Well, Live Better, it’s the perfect opportunity to reflect on your own sleep habits and seek support if something doesn’t feel right. If you’re dealing with ongoing fatigue, restless nights or disrupted sleep patterns, speaking with a GP at Health Hub Doctors Morayfield can help identify underlying causes and create a plan to improve your rest and overall wellbeing.

Taking action now could make a meaningful difference to your daily health and long-term quality of life.

🌼 Turning February Teal for Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month 🌼

Ovarian cancer can be tricky — its early symptoms often mimic everyday tummy troubles, but knowing what to watch out for could make all the difference.

🔍 Common things to look for:
• Abdominal bloating that doesn’t go away
• Feeling full quickly after small meals
• Persistent pelvic or belly discomfort
• Urinary urgency or frequency

Even if these signs feel minor, talking to a medical professional can give you peace of mind. There’s no routine screening test, so early conversations matter.

💬 Make an appointment at Health Hub Doctors Morayfield on 07 5322 4900.

Urgent care through summer ☀️☀️

Rain or shine, summer is a chance to get outside and enjoy the warmer months with family and friends.

Summer is also a time when there’s usually a reported increase in the number of hospital admissions for certain injuries, such as falls from ladders, injuries from tools and machinery, and sports injuries.

What if you have an injury or illness that needs medical attention the same day but isn’t an emergency?

A visit to a Medicare Urgent Care Clinic means you don’t have to wait at the emergency department. Medicare Urgent Care Clinics are:

☀️Bulk billed, so services are free
☀️Walk-in, so you don’t need an appointment or referral
☀️Open 7 days for extended hours
☀️Staffed by GPs and nurses.

Morayfield Medicare Urgent Care Clinic is open 8am to 8pm every day.

In the case of an emergency, call 000

Redefining healthcare in Australia

Health Hub Morayfield is a collaboration of integrated health, education and research professionals who work closely together to ensure easy access to affordable healthcare and support services for the community.

We look beyond traditional ‘siloed’ healthcare and put the patient in the centre of their healthcare journey.

We are deliberately convenient and seek to improve health literacy in the community and provide pathways to address individuals’ broader healthcare requirements.

We partner with people, the community and healthcare professionals to navigate better health outcomes and a better life for individuals and families.
