Taking a break is as important for your mental health as it is for your body. When the relaxation response is triggered, you could notice less anxiety and stress, it will help to calm the nervous system, reduce sensory overload, and promotes a sense of calm and well-being. Listening to your body gives you a chance to rest physically, recharge your energy and gives your mind and body a chance to keep moving and working. 💜

Sometimes a thought just keeps playing over and over again in our head. Rumination can be hard to break, so try to flip the script in your brain by doing something different as soon as you feel yourself getting stuck, finding a distraction can help break the cycle. Try checking in on your expectations and if they are reasonable, ask yourself what can or can’t be changed, what’s in or out of your influence and check your perspective, it may change the way you think about the situation. 💜
