When does your child need to see a psychologist?
Emotional difficulties – if your child shows signs of anxiety, depression, excessive fears, or difficulties with overall emotional regulation, I.e. difficulties with day to day function such as attending school or engaging in social activities.
Behavioural challenges – such as aggression, avoidance in completing tasks , defiance, withdrawal, or difficulty following rules at home or school.
Struggles with social skills – trouble making or keeping friends, understanding social cues, or navigating peer relationships.
Coping with major life changes – like divorce, grief, trauma, or relocation, which may affect their emotional wellbeing and adjustment.
Neurodevelopmental or learning concerns – including intellectual disabilities, ADHD, ASD, or suspected learning disorders, where assessment and strategies can support development and functioning.
