Squamous Cell Carcinoma

This patient presented with a longstanding growing lesion that had been inadequately treated and misdiagnosed. Biopsy confirmed invasive SCC.

Excision was performed using primary closure.

Photo 1 is day of procedure, Photo 2 is a week later at removal of suture, and Photo 3 is 3 months post operative.

Length of the excision is key here to avoid dog ear deformity or abnormal contours of the scar which is much more noticeable than the scar itself.

Basal Cell Carcinoma.

This patient presented with a slowly growing lesion on his left outer eyebrow.

The invasive cancer was removed, then reconstruction of the area was achieved using an A-T flap. Care was taken not to pull on the eyebrow and hide the scar line along the natural forehead crease.

Photos are pre operative planning, Second is day of surgery and finally 12 months post operative.
