All content published by The Bays is relevant and appropriate to the promotion and social engagement of services and information relevant to both The Bays Hospital and Dialysis Unit. All content is either owned directly by The Bays or curated content from followers of the page. 💗 “I just thought - I’m only 52, and I’ve got breast cancer.”

Mornington mum Samantha Dickason found a lump during a routine check. Her attentiveness to changes meant she acted fast, starting treatment for stage 3 breast cancer with expert support from The Bays.

Introducing our latest artist – Cathie Curtis 🎨🌊

We’re excited to feature Cathie Curtis in The Bays’ ArtCare program for the very first time.

Cathie, a local artist, brings her love of the natural world to life through her paintings of the Mornington Peninsula’s landscapes, flora and fauna, as well as scenes from her travels. 🌿✨

Her beautiful collection is now on display at The Bays Hospital until November. 🏥

A percentage of all artwork sales will support our fundraising efforts, helping us continue to care for our community. 💙

Yesterday we marked R U OK? Day by bringing our hospital staff together for a barbecue lunch and a chance to check in with one another.

But the conversation shouldn’t stop there - any day is a good day to ask someone you care about, “Are you OK?”

Life’s ups and downs don’t follow a calendar, so if you notice a friend, colleague or loved one struggling, start a meaningful conversation.

Ask the question, listen without judgement, encourage action and follow up.

It can be that simple - and it could change a life.

Local people affected by cancer and their loved ones are invited to join us for a free gentle, creative, and hands-on workshop that combines the art of gardening with mindful relaxation.

Create your own personalized terracotta pot, learn simple planting techniques, and take home herbs to grow at home.

Guided by the friendly Bunnings Mornington Team, this session is the perfect way to slow down, get creative, and nurture something new.

💖 Welcome to the world, Sloane!

Huge congratulations to theatre nurse Renee Gledhill and her husband Brandon Walsh on the arrival of their second daughter, Sloane Faylene Walsh (born 18 July) at The Bays!

Big sister Alice (nearly 3) was also born here, and Renee herself started life at The Bays in 1994 - making Sloane’s birth a beautiful family tradition.

With Dr Emily Fiske and our amazing theatre and maternity teams by her side, Renee knew she was in the best hands. She was also supported by Bays team member and student midwife Ruby Green, completing her Continuity of Care Program.

We’re thrilled to share that our Infection Control Coordinator, Kirby Smith, and her husband Martin have welcomed their second daughter at The Bays.

✨ Hannah Joy Smith was born on 21 August at 1.50pm, weighing a perfect 3kg.

Hannah’s arrival was made even more special with Kirby’s Bays colleagues by her side, supporting her throughout the journey. 💕
