Post-Op Reminder: No Dog Walking After Breast Surgery 🐾

We know you love your furry friend, but please hand the leash over for now.
Even a gentle pull from your dog can put tension on your surgical wounds, risking complications and slowing your healing.

Take this time to rest, recover, and enjoy some cuddle time instead.

An abdominoplasty, commonly known as a tummy tuck, removes excess skin and fat from the abdomen while tightening the underlying muscles.

This helps create a smoother, firmer abdominal profile and can be especially beneficial after significant weight loss or pregnancy.

Pictured here is a patient at 6 months post-surgery, allowing time for swelling to settle and scars to mature.

✨ Surgery Top Tip: Button-Up Shirts Are Your Best Friend!

Whether you’re having breast, body, or facial surgery, make life easier for yourself after your procedure. Ditch the pullovers and pack button-up or zip-front tops instead. They’re comfy, easy to put on, and won’t strain your surgical sites when changing.

A little wardrobe prep now can help make for a smoother recovery later.

Post-Op Reminder: No hands above your shoulders 🙅‍♀️
After breast surgery, you’ll have surgical wounds in your inframammary fold (IMF) beneath the breast. Raising your hands above your shoulders puts tension on these wounds, and that tension can lead to complications.

To help your body heal and reduce risk, please avoid lifting your arms above shoulder height for the first six weeks after surgery. Your recovery matters, so take it slow, follow your post-op instructions, and give your body the best chance to heal properly.

As winter wraps up, we’re taking a look back at the most common procedures performed in the clinic over the cooler months ❄️

1️⃣ Rhytidectomy (Facelift) – A procedure designed to reduce visible signs of ageing in the face and neck by lifting and tightening the skin.
2️⃣ Fat Grafting – Uses your body’s own fat to restore volume, contour, and smoothness to targeted areas.
3️⃣ Breast Reduction – Reduces breast size while reshaping for improved comfort, proportion, and confidence.

*Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.
