Dry Needling //
At times we need a little more direct treatment to best relax muscles and instantly free the body of pain. Dry needling, also known as trigger point dry needling and intramuscular stimulation, is a pseudoscientific technique used by various healthcare practitioners, including acupuncturists, physical therapists, physicians, and chiropractors, among others. Acupuncturists usually maintain that dry needling is adapted from acupuncture, but others consider dry needling as a variation of trigger point injections.
It involves the use of either solid filiform needles or hollow-core hypodermic needles for therapy of muscle pain, including pain related to myofascial pain syndrome.
Dry needling is mainly used to treat myofascial trigger points, but it is also used to target connective tissue, neural ailments, and muscular ailments.
We include dry needling with all Myotherapy and Remedial Massage Treatments, however it’s up to you if you wish to include dry needling in your treatment, completely optional!

Your therapist will use a combination of Myotherapy, LED/Laser and Pneumatic Pump Therapy, tailoring your treatment around your bodies needs as part of a 60/90/120 min session.
This session will address; Musculoskeletal issues, rapid healing and inflammation reduction with the LED/Laser and removal of excess swelling with the Pump Therapy.

At Healthwise Therapies, we have our Pregnancy Pillow that can be set up on all of our tables.
This allows you to comfortably lay face down so your therapist can easily access and treat your whole back and legs.

We understand the importance of regular massage & soft tissue release throughout your pregnancy, therefore, we have introduced a “pregnancy treatment plan” in which every alternate treatment includes an increasing discount.

Any remaining entitlement on the discount card may be used post pregnancy to help realign the body and decrease tension once your baby has arrived.

With the cold weather, it's important to warm up before each training session and game.

Due to the nature of the sport, footy season often brings pain and injury to the legs including hamstrings strains, quadriceps strains, calf strains, tendinopathy and over all muscle fatigue.

Tanti Avenue Massage and Myotherapy has been in continuous business for over 20 years. There has been one change in ownership (and name- previously known as Tanti Avenue Life Health) 5 years ago, when a therapist who worked there purchased the business. However the combination of outstanding service, professionalism and personal care has always been at the highest possible level.

We have a fabulous team of therapists providing a range of services including Myotherapy, Remedial Massage, Relaxation & Pregnancy Massage and Sports Massage. We sell some complimentary products such as Epsom Salts, heat packs, Rowo Herbel Sports Gel, bolsters and spiky / lacrosse balls.

We are open 6 days a week, have on site parking, disabled access, on-line bookings, EFT and Hicaps facilities. Discounts are available for students and healthcare card holders.
