A very proud moment at The Australia Day awards ceremony this morning as we were awarded community Event of the Year! Thank you to all our volunteers for the hours they put in to Anzac Day services every year.

Special shout out to our Youth Vigil in the South Leader Callum Barrott-Walsh for his Young Citizen of the Year award. Callum you are a true inspiration.

Well, he may not photograph all that well all the time, but we are super proud of our President Mark Wheaton, who was one of five SA/NT recipients awarded with the Australia Day Medallion for 2026.

Thank you, Mark, for all that you do for the Morphett Vale RSL community.

Congratulations to all the recipients who contribute so much to their respective subbranches throughout the year.

Today, we observe the National Day of Mourning for the victims of the Bondi Beach terrorist attack.

RSL Australia stands with our Jewish community and all Australians in grief. We remain committed to the work ahead to ensure hatred never prevails on our shores.

Our deepest condolences go to the families and friends of the victims. We wish them strength and a complete physical and spiritual recovery.
