Bulk billing will continue to be available Monday to Friday for the following eligible patients:
• Children aged 16 and under
• Pensioner Concession Card (PCC) holders
• DVA Gold/White Card holders (Veterans)
• Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
• Health Care Card (HCC) holders
• Commonwealth Seniors Health Card (CSHC) holders

Last Friday, our Dr Jeremy () participated in the World's Greatest Shave to help and raise awareness to those affected by blood cancers. He raised an amazing $4500+.
Thank you to all those that donated and those who came down on the day.

Flu Vaccinations are now available!
Private flu vaccinations are $20 each.

The government will fund vaccinations for:
- Children aged 6 months to less than 5 years.
- Pregnant women (at any stage of pregnancy).
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- People aged 65 and over.
- People with certain medical conditions that put them at increased risk of severe influenza and its complications.

It's that magical time of year when we swap out stethoscopes for Santa hats, and "rest and hydrate" becomes "eat, drink, and be merry!"
While you're decking the halls, just remember: laughter is great medicine, eggnog is not a hydration plan, and if Santa can fit down the chimney, you can absolutely fit in one extra walk this week.

From 1st January 2024, we are making changes to card transaction surcharges and our Saturdays.

The doctors will be the introducing a surcharge fee on all card transactions. Currently, the practice absorbs all card transaction surcharges. The surcharges (1.04% for VISA/Mastercard and EFTPOS is 0.30%) are calculated to cover the cost of processing your card transactions. We are committed to only passing on the cost of the card transaction, in line with the RBA rules.

We will also open every 2nd Saturday instead of every Saturday and, on those days, the doctors will be privately billing all patients. This means that concession card holders/bulk billing/children/pathology requests/referrals/telehealth will be privately billed on Saturday. We are making this change because of the increasing administration costs of opening on weekends. Mondays-Fridays will remain the same.

The practice is pleased to welcome our newest doctor - Dr Taifa Ahmed - who will be starting with us on Tuesday 28th March. Dr Taifa is an experienced doctor with a passion for family medicine. She has completed a Diploma of Child Health, a Professional Certificate of Women’s Health and a Diploma of Dermatology. Dr Taifa will work Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

The practice would like to update/clarify three commonly asked requests. (1) All referrals will need to be done in-person – this includes repeat referrals. Please note that requesting on-the-day referrals will not be possible as we are usually fully booked. We ask that you plan your appointments for referrals ahead of time to prevent disappointment. (2) All appointments will be privately billed unless you are eligible for bulk billing. Results are no longer eligible for bulk billing and will be at the discretion of the doctor. (3) All missed appointments will be incur a fee. This will be payable before your next visit. Missed Appointments are appointments where your start time has passed and you have not contacted us. Note: the practice will not hold your appointment once your start time has lapsed as this will push out future appointments for other patients.

THE MORTLAKE MAN WALK, for men of all ages.

First Walk - Wednesday, 5th October at 6.15am. (45-60 minute walk)

Meet outside St Patrick's Parish Hall, 33 Gale St, Mortlake.

The Man Walk provides an environment that is positive, supportive and inclusive, where there is no pressure and no barriers to entry. It is an opportunity to walk, talk and support! We want to make it ok to talk, and we want to make it ok for men to ask for help if they need it.
