Mr Malcolm Thomas is our longest serving Orthopaedic Surgeon at Maryvale Private Hospital. Malcolm has been serving the Gippsland community in both the public and private sector for over 30 years.

He has a practice which treats both adults and paediatric patients for elective and trauma surgeries. His interests include complex hip, knee, shoulder, foot and ankle procedures.

We are excited to welcome Dr Sophy Korula, Paediatric Endocrinologist and Paediatrician to Maryvale Private Hospital.

Sophy’s main aim is to provide compassionate care with clinical excellence to the children of this regional area. Sophy has a strong focus on caring for the needs of children with Paediatric endocrine disorders and diabetes. She also has immense experience in developmental and complex behavioural disorders and is keen to provide holistic treatment for children with those concerns.

Areas of specialisation include thyroid dysfunction, short stature, weight concerns, diabetes, adrenal issues, developmental and complex behavioural disorders.

With appointments available from February 2026, Sophy is now accepting referrals.
