Today is World Autism Awareness Day, a time to recognise and celebrate neurodiversity while promoting greater understanding, acceptance, and inclusion for autistic individuals around the world. It’s also an opportunity to highlight the importance of meaningful support, informed policies, and moving beyond awareness toward genuine understanding.

At Support Solutions Gippsland, we are proud to support participants living with autism. Many within our team also have personal connections through friends and family, which deepens our commitment to this important work. Today, we stand together to foster understanding, show compassion, and advocate for a more inclusive and supportive community for all.

Today is World Epilepsy Awareness Day 💜

This global grassroots campaign is dedicated to raising awareness, reducing stigma, and showing support for the 1 in 26 people who will be diagnosed with epilepsy in their lifetime.

At Support Solutions Gippsland, we proudly support participants living with epilepsy, and many of us have also been personally impacted through friends and family. Today, we stand together to raise understanding, show compassion, and advocate for a more inclusive community.

Here at Support Solutions Gippsland we provide support to many participants that suffer from PTSD. From ADF Veterans and Emergency Service Workers to those who have suffered sever trauma in thier day-to-day lives, this affliction does not discriminate. Today is Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Awareness Day, a time to raise awareness about and let those impacted know that help is available.

Despite not being recognised as an official psychiatric condition until 1980, PTSD is now treatable. If you or someone you know is experiencing PTSD, we have a range of free and effective therapeutic options available.

Hey there Gippsland,

Have you managed to see the stunning intensity of red in the leaves at Walhalla township lately?
It was so engaging in the moment that we forgot to take a photo!
We recently enjoyed sharing time with one of our valued Participants that wanted to explore the beautiful surrounding area and stop in for lunch & a coffee.
We love where we live and are always energised to share these great places with our Participants.

Yesterday was World Autism Awarness Day. World Autism Awareness Day is an internationally recognized day annually on April 2nd where all are encouraged to improve their knowledge and understanding of the different experiences and characteristics of individuals on the autism spectrum. It is also a day to acknowledge and showcase the value that autistic perspectives bring to our communities. This day is also about recognition, and the sharing of stories to celebrate the successes of Autistic people. Support Solutions Gippsland would like to acknowldge the participants that we provide ongoing support for that are on the Autism spectrum and we look forward to providing you support into the future.

Looking for both male and female experienced support workers to cover the Latrobe Valley area.
Applicants must have current Working with Children Check, National Police Check, ABN, First Aid, CPR, Reliable Vehicle and Drivers License.
Cert IV or Diploma level Community Services, Mental Health or equivalent qualifications and NDIS Screening Check are highly desirable.
