The nurse practitioner role is the most advanced of the clinical nursing roles in Australia. So, it’s a good time to get your general health check up!
Rachel is a compassionate, and dedicated therapist nurse practitioner, and Diabetes educator who provides holistic health care support that has a diverse range of experience in;
🩺 Mental health
🩺 Chronic Disease management and you can also book an appointment for all your diabetes needs, equipment and support through education
Rachel is available for consultation and can provide
🩺 Assessment
🩺 Diagnosis
🩺 Prescribing medications and repeat prescriptions
🩺 Pathology, treatments and referral for x-rays and investigations,
🩺 Has referral rights as a nurse practitioner to specialist and Allied health professionals
🩺 Engages in Health promotional care
🩺 Diagnosis and treatment of Hepatitis B &C
🩺 Can provide reports and medical (sick) certificates if required
As a Nurse practitioner, extended appointments are available of 20 mins, 40 minutes and coming in March 60 minutes, - these are all 100 % bulk billed with telephone consults available too.

Meet the Team....
Nurse Practitioner, Rachel Romano, is a Registered Nurse who has undertaken additional university study that allows her to work independently within Maryvale General Practice.
Nurse Rachel is able to diagnose & treat patients 18 years+ with chronic or acute health conditions.
Nurse Rachel has 30+ years experience in mental health nursing and has a strong passion for mental health care. Nurse Rachel also has special interest in chronic disease management and diabetes. She has undertaken further studies to work as a Diabetes Educator.
Nurse Rachel is available for consultations for minor illnesses and can provide prescriptions, referrals, medical certificates and vaccinations.
