If you are coming to the Having A Say Conference next week, our very own Self Advocate and brilliant speaker Tim Mackie will be presenting on Tuesday 27th January in the Grey Room within the 1:30pm-2:30pm time slot.

Tim will be representing New Wave and showing an amazing video that the New Wave Bass Coast South Gippsland group made that we are very proud of!!!

Come and support Tim if you can.

Everyone deserves a say in their own life.

Having a Say Conference 2026 brings people with disability, families, support workers and allies together to learn, connect and share lived experience.

It’s about rights, voice and being heard – led by people with disability.

Some pictures from our Speak Up Drop In Christmas Party in Latrobe Valley - it was fun! We did role plays (thanks Glynn and David), played Kat's new disability rights memory game, and wrote what is important to us about self-advocacy. Thanks so much to everyone who dropped by - including guests from Gippsland Disability Advocacy Inc., Empowered at GCASA, Life Skills Victoria, SARU - Self Advocacy Resource Unit, Reinforce, Positive Powerful Parents, Latrobe City Council, and some new visitors! We look forward to seeing everyone in the new year 🎊
