I started training when I was 16.
I became a PT when I was 21.
I was in pretty decent shape after losing 41 big ones in a 6 month period, thanks to puberty and me deciding to actually be conscious about what I ate and how much…
However, my nutrition wasn’t spot on and that was reflected in my physique, yes I was lean-ish, yes I wasn’t bad compared to most people but I was really lacking the growth, size and strength I knew I was capable of!
So you know what I did?
You know what got me there?
You know what made me hit all the goals I set out to achieve?
I hired a coach.
I paid one of the senior trainers at my gym in Sydney to do my programming and nutrition for me.
For the first time, I actually tracked my calories, understood my macros better and instead of winging my workouts I had everything tailormade to suit my goals.
I could ask questions, I was held accountable and it took all the guesswork out of the equation.
I wasn’t in bad shape by any means but it was that structure that took me to that next level.
I was a qualified PT with a heap of knowledge but still needed a PT to push me beyond what I thought I knew!
