The NDIA is looking to participants to shape a new way designing and testing the new way of planning for the NDIS, with the first live testing of the new Support Needs Assessment underway.

What do we currently know?

The new planning approach within the NDIS is being tested by real participants, ensuring future plans are built around lived experience. Not assumptions.🙌🏻

2️⃣ Clearer, more transparent plans
Live Support Needs Assessments aim to create greater clarity, consistency and understanding around funded supports, making plan implementation smoother and more confident.👏🏻

3️⃣ Stronger collaboration ahead
With changes expected to roll out from mid-2026, Plan Managers will play a vital role in guiding, educating and supporting participants through the transition.💙

The Government is investing $4 billion into the new “Thriving Kids” supports, designed to help children aged 8 and under with developmental delay or autism requiring low to moderate support needs access early intervention and essential services. 

Starting October 2026, these foundational supports will help families access the right help earlier - while children with higher support needs will continue to be supported through the NDIS.

Liz is one of our incredible co-founders and directors.

She is a passionate empath, awesome Mum and incredibly knowledgeable on all things NDIS.☀️

Liz has truely experienced the NDIS from all sides, as a Mum to a child accessing the NDIS, as a service provider and now, as a plan manager.

Liz loves being outdoors and spending time in nature so in her spare time, she loves to ride her bike along the beach as well as spend time with her beautiful family.🚲🌊
