This isn't always easy to do, with life attempting to mindlessly shape us through constant busyness and distraction. However, for me, the effort is always rewarded.

Flexibility is one of the better known benefits of a regular yoga practice but lesser known is that the improvement of flexibility and the bodys range of motion is generally accompanied by many other more subtle benefits within the body, mind & soul ✨️

Yoga really is so wonderful for phsyical ailments that come from repetitive daily tasks and actions, patterns of holding and stress, and simply from general wear and tear on this phyiscal vehicle that propels us through this life πŸ’ƒπŸƒπŸ‚πŸ‹β›ΉοΈβ€β™‚οΈπŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈπŸ§˜πŸŒβ€β™‚οΈ

I encourage you to catch a class, practice folding yourself and feel the benefits in your own body.

My yoga practice isn't confinded to my mat and this here is a good example of how I effortlessly intergrate yoga into my life. My bestie and I also practiced yoga the night before to ensure a good sleep and then again in the morning to warm up and prepare our bodies (and mindsets) for a big day of dancing πŸ’ƒπŸ•Ί

Spent my last day sampling some of Bali's finest chocolate and cacao straight from a coconut! Yum! Seriously delicious dark chocolate πŸ™Œ

✨️ The Pyramids of Chi ✨️

I met an Englishman at dinner the other night who said he was a skeptic until this place 'saved his life' and I just had to check it out!

Sun, Moon and Earth pyramids that sit atop rice paddys in North Ubud and offer sound healing amoung other practices that utilise the 52Β° shape of the pyramid that is seen repeated across ancient civilised cultres all over the world.

Now, science says humans are 50-70% water AND vibrations travel up to 4 times faster through liquid than solid or gas (science teacher meets yogi)! Therefore its not hard to see how sound, including the use of mantra, can have a profoud healing effect on the human body, helping to transcend our layers and release tensions or traumas that are deep seated. After all, vibration is the language of conciousness.

Two local balinese sound healers took us on a journey to who-knows where with various instruments that had me feeling as if I simply was absorbed into conciousness, one with the universe πŸ™Œ It was enlightening, grounding, a little intimidating and very relaxing. I didn't want to come back (from where-ever I was) when they called me but I did and I feel wonderful for having experienced it!

I attended a beautiful Loving Kindess meditation this morning after practising Hatha yoga. We took time be become present, to arrive and made used of movement to facilitate release.

We chanted the seed sound of the heart (Yam) while practising Yoni mudra at our heart space. We then meditated on the following...

May I be well.
May I be happy.
May I be Loving Kindness.
May I be at ease.
πŸ™

We were asked to bring forth a person we love to mind and my brother strolled in without hesitation. He then pulled my mother into his side waist and she pulled my father in view. Next my wonderful husband Marc and my beautiful sister-in-law Kym - arms around one another, rippling with joy and anticipation, beaming at me - my wonderful family.

I chanted the affirmations to them all as they laughed and smiled awkwardly back at me, not sure what to do with their hands. I cried, a lot. And smiled back. πŸ™Œ

Next we called forth a person we've been hurt by or had a disagreement with and offered them the affirmations. I told this person I let go of the hurt and the anger, and that I forgive them. I smiled, they smiled back. I cried. πŸ™Œ

Finally we extended this prayer to all living beings, the many children of Mother Earth and to the Universe. 🌏

It was a very powerful, very moving practise and one I will undoubtedly come back to. I take this moment to reflect with gratitide on the support and love my family surrounds me with everyday - even of they don't understand fully the journey I am on.

Today is my dad and Kyms birthday. Special energy from November 15th bought us together when physical distance keeps us apart ✨️
