Day Options’ Biggest Morning Tea – What a Brew-tiful Success! ☕💛
For the third year in a row, Day Options proudly hosted our Biggest Morning Tea – and what a day it was! With a goal to beat previous fundraising efforts ($500 in our first year, $700 last year), we’re thrilled to share that we raised a massive $1,311 this year! 🎉

A huge shoutout to the generous anonymous donor who contributed $500 – your kindness made a big difference.

Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, and supported us – we couldn’t have done it without you!

👏 Special congratulations to our lucky raffle and game winners Tracy, Beverly, Jully and Ruth.

We also want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Mt Barker Bowls Club and Bunnings Warehouse Mt Barker for their ongoing support and generous donations that help enrich the programs we run for Clients.

The Clients went above and beyond this year – from cooking delicious treats to helping organise the event and purchase supplies. We’re so proud to say we’ve cracked the $1,000 mark and are now officially part of the Royal Tea Club! 🫖🎖 (Yes, that means we’re getting a limited edition 2025 Biggest Morning Tea spoon.

Lastly, a huge thank you to our dedicated staff. Your talents in organising, decorating, cooking, and supporting Clients are what make events like this so special. We’re so grateful for the positive impact you have on the Clients’ lives every single day. 💛

Staff working in these clinics have been trained in sensory processing, and modifications have been made to the clinic environment to create a more warm and inviting space for clients.

As part of these clinics, there will be:
- a longer appointment time
- fewer people in the clinic
- more space to wait for the appointment
- customised lighting
- a fragrance-free environment
- support to use headphones to listen to music
- sensory relaxation tools

🎉 Thanks to a generous $10,000 grant from Human Services SA and HCO fundraising efforts with support from charitable donors, we’ve been able to purchase a Tovertafel projector for our Day Options program!

This incredible piece of technology, purchased from NovitaTech, is designed to promote engagement, interaction and joy through purposeful play – and Clients are already loving it!

We are so grateful for this support, which allows us to continue creating meaningful, inclusive experiences for the people we support. 💙
