A Warm Welcome Through Art at Summit Health Centre
We’re thrilled to share that a vibrant new mural now graces the entrance of Summit Health Centre, thanks to the incredible talents of artists David Booth and Harley Hall.
This artwork beautifully weaves together elements that reflect our community and the connections we share across Country. The colours resonate with Summit Health’s identity and our links to neighbouring regions. Meeting place circles and U shapes symbolise community hubs and the journeys between them. Handprints represent our ancestors, kinship, and belonging, while the foot trails, alongside kangaroo and emu tracks, signify continuous movement forward and connect with the dreaming of Tjilbruke and Tarnda. The yellow wattle highlights the abundance of plant life, food, and medicine throughout the Adelaide Hills, with linking circles representing community, place, and ceremony.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to David and Harley for their meaningful contribution, and to our colleagues at Country SA PHN for their support in bringing this project to life. Next time you visit, take a moment to appreciate this stunning piece that welcomes all to our Summit Health Centre on Wellington Road, Mount Barker.
