As we come into the summer season when natural disasters can be more likely, it's important to be prepared. The right tools will help you plan exactly what to do in an emergency.

The University of Sydney have created a Free Person-Centred Emergency Preparedness tool, to help people with disability create an emergency plan to suit their specific needs.

Quality College of Australia are running an Accessible Kitchen Hand course, designed to help people with a disability to gain basic kitchen skills to apply for kitchen hand positions. This course is sponsored by Quality Care SA, is free of charge and there are limited places available. An information session is being held on Thursday 4 July at 2pm. On Wednesday 19th June, Palliative Care South Australia are hosting TLC Connector Training. The free event, facilitated by Dr Julian Abel, will be held in Mount Barker and aims to provide confidence to Talk, Listen and Connect with others experiencing serious illness, dying, grief or caregiving.
