Mount Barker parkrun Mount Barker parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km event for runners or walkers every week from 8am.

Mount Barker parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km event for runners of all standards, which takes place every Saturday at 8am from the Mount Barker Homemaker Centre, approximately 33km east of Adelaide's CBD. parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5k timed run and it can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. It offers an opportunity for all the local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy the beautiful surrounds and get physically active at the same time. We want to encourage people to jog or
run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE!

Just one sleep left until parkrun!

Hope you're ready, we nearly are.

We could do with a few more volunteers for Saturday :- a Marshal, a Volunteer Co-ordinator and a couple more Barcode Scanners.

Please message us if you are able to help (remember all but the Marshal can do the parkrun as well!) or check in with the Run Director (look for the white vest) on the day.

Celebrating a milestone at Mount Barker parkrun this Saturday?
We'd love to hear about it and spread the news if you want.
Whether it's an 'official' milestone, or something in between that is worth shouting about, let us know on Messenger or at mountbarker@parkrun,com and we can put up a post on Facebook or give a call out on the day.

Volunteers are the best, we'd be nothing without them!
And if you would like to be like these legends, we've got great news!
Our volunteer roster is never full, so if you've always wanted to help out, or if you are a regular, we'd love to hear from you.
This week we are particularly looking for:
Marshal - help out at the start / finish line.
Volunteer Co-ordinator - chat to people before and after parkrun and see if anyone wants to put their name down on the roster for upcoming events.
Barcode Scanner - we could always do with another one of them!
All volunteer roles are super fun, super easy and come with full training.
